Archiving PMs

Hello forum-savvy folks!

I have a rather foreboding bold message up beneath my notifications thinger, telling me that my PM box is 90% full. I'm kind of a packrat though and like to keep correspondences...

Is there any way that I can archive these messages? Or do something other than just trash them?

Edit: I'm basically just kind of lazy and don't want to take the time to figure something out for myself......you don't mind, right? (how can you resist that smile??)

There are options to export your private messages into three different file formats:

* XML
* CSV
* Text

I normally download mine in 'text' and save them to a folder on my hard-drive. Once you have done this, you can delete your messages (make sure you do both your incoming and sent messages).

Look in your inbox - select all your messages - bottom right hand of your screen you will see 'selected messages' - click on the file format that you will prefer and as we say in blighty... bob's your uncle

Oh dear...I have this very strange, incredibly empty feeling...yet perhaps liberating?

At least I no longer have that bold message staring me in the face!

Thanks, TF (and Uncle Bob)!! xD

lol... pleased to help I have kept every single one of my pm's since day dot No reason other than I like to be organised (and am a bit of a hoarder ). I can't remember the last time I looked at them though - lol.

Aw brilliant Clocky, thanks for the info. :) I don't remember that option being there before... perhaps I'm blind

I've lost count of the number of times my inbox has filled up and me not bothering to copy/paste messages. That includes having 201 messages ;)
