Im not sure if this is the right place to put this item but Im sure the crew can move it if need be!

I am pregnant! But.....its a surrogate pregnancy for another couple. I am due in mid December. Its a girl. Her parents are very involved and have been incredibly supportive of me and my family while I carry their little girl for them. She is very healthy and kicking me all the time! I feel blessed that i have been able to give this gift to another family who want a child so badly! All is going well and if i have seemed even more wierd than usual recently its because my hormones are raging.

BunE, what you're doing is a wonderful thing, thank you for being open about it. Noone has the right to judge you and you deserve and have my love and support.



People can discuss the topic of surrogacy but don't anyone of you dare try and make bunE doubt herself, this is a huuuge event, with massive implications to her life and she obviously hasn't undertaken it lightly and has gone through a lot of soul-searching.

I would like to ask a few questions though -

!. How many bunnies expected in the litter - will it get as high as 10?
2.How many times can i cough *hormones* on MSN before you rip my head off?

I really do admire you bunE, and i agree with kissy if anyone deems it fit to say anything negative about this i will also be really angry.
People suffer greatly with not being able to concieve, luckily i could get pregnant if mr cherry even looked at me, but no so for many people out there.
You are a very brave kind lady who deserves a medal in my book.

OMG bunE, that is one of the most selfless acts of kindness that anyone can do, and i think you are one incredible woman for even considering it.



I've always thought we need to make a difference whilst we are here - whether that be to the world, to our country, our community, or even just to one other person - if we can make a difference to someone, then we've done something worthwhile. Awwww bunE, that is incredibly cute and very sweet of you! You're brave for doing this and I hope it all goes well for you. I'm shocked but in a nice way because it's such a lovely thing to do. What everyone else has said is absolutely true about it being selfless, kind and brave, I couldn't agree more.

I decided to do it beacuse a friend of a friend told me that they were looking for a surrogate. I had to think long and hard but as the egg isnt even mine she doesnt even feel like my child. I had to talk with my partner and all my kids to make sure they were ok with it and there was lots of legalise stuff to do. But in the end I decided it was the right thing for me to do.

That's great that you have your partner and your kids supporting you. Usually kids wouldn't understand this sorta stuff, but you can tell yours must be just as giving like you are to have agreed to it :)

Just out of interest, what sort of things do you have to legalise?
Also, excuse my ignorance here, cos I really don't know how the system works, but later on as this little girl grows up, are you expected to have anything to do with her life?
If not, I assume that's the choice of the parents, so they can choose to fill you in on little events.

You have to have a legal doc saying that you have no rights to the child once it is born, that you will hand her over to her parents immeditely etc. That you agree to her "adoption" because legally she comes from my body therefore in legal world I am her mother(even though I dont feel that way). Her name will be registred by them with me. Yes it is the choice of her parents as to whether I have anything to do with her, but to be honest i dont need or want to. She is not my daughter she is theirs. I think they have decided to tell her later in life that she came from my womb but I dont know that for sure.

To Ches -No there has been no negativity here but in life I have already encountered some. Some mums at school have been very funny about me giving her up, and 1 has stopped speaking to me altogether!
I think my friends were just being protective of me on here in case anybody said anything negative.
BTW I love the name bumpE!!!!

Why should they be funny about it, like you said it's not your own child unless it's your eggs being used. But it's not... is it? *confused*

As for that one mother you can stick a thumb out at her and turn it downwards, then say 'I'm not your friend anymore' but that could just be my 4 year old nieces who do that hehe
