Try typing /query username or /msg username. I'm on a Mac and /msg doesn't work for me but /query does. No idea why. Anyone else on Mac with this issue?
If that doesn't work then something is wrong but I don't know what.

Can you receive private messages and reply to them?

That's happened to me a few times before. But all I need to do is log off isketch and come back, and it works fine.

Possibly the server didn't see you as logged on but it's good you reported this to feedback.

Good luck :)

Yep, that's been happening now and then. Also I've had to kick players as their names remain on the server and they can't log back on. Once again, I dunno why. Maybe the server has a poltergeist?

This is not a fix, but just a thought: As soon as you log on, send yourself a PM, i.e., /MSG Rococo You Roc

Then see if your next PM (to someone else) goes through.

Have you tried the /q or /query or /msg username commands? Or, if the user is in the room, have you tried simply clicking that person's name (and hold your click for a couple seconds) and then selecting their username in the menu that pops up?

If that's not the problem, perhaps you're clicking outside the Chat box (or otherwise exiting the Chat box somehow), and losing your connection with the user you're trying to private message with, which means that sometimes you can't get back to that person unless they PM you first (examples: busy room, you left the room, the game is slow... etc.). If you ever lose connection with a person you were just chatting with, you can always click on their name to PM them, or try those commands both Sierra and I mentioned above.

Just a thought. Since you're on the new MacBook.. and I believe you're using Safari as your main browser (correct me if I'm wrong), what if you try downloading Firefox and seeing if the same PM problem occurs? Might be worth a try :)

I actually have Firefox, but don't use it for iSketch because it has a few glitches in it, but each computer is different. A friend of mine has no problems with Firefox on a mac, and uses that instead of Safari (which is horrid for them). So if you haven't done so already, I'd say test Firefox out. Or even Opera. Good luck!

Yeah, Firefox! Firefox!

* sketches attempts to start a small chant, but soon realizes nobody would join in

Psst, sorry Rococoo, I wasn't sure whether you knew the game or not; I've had way too many conversations (as if you care about this - JK) where I try explaining the simple stuff to people and they get all confused, so I figured, better be safe than sorry. And you didn't sound rude. As everyone else has said, good luck! :P

Strange, i can run isketch on safari and firefox on my g4 no problem, never had any issues other than the occasional crash, but that's like 1 out of every 100 times i play. I'm thinking compatibility issues with the intel chips or something.
