Comic Relief

Is anyone here doing anything to raise money for it?

I would totally shave my head. For one, it would piss the hell out of my sister, and two, it would probably be for cops for cancer, so it would go to a good cause. Too bad our school doesn't have it. But easier said than done, right?

Snap, my son's school to, they will all be wearing red noses to, erm, great fun for the teachers when one of the kids looses theirs , perhaps I shall try at put their names in theirs.

I don't donate as I'm not a uk tax payer, but mr jewels will donate on behalf of the whole family, as he is a tax payer, comic relief can then claim the extra tax back

Bloomin' killjoys... they could just fireproof them, then they'd fit the health and safety laws. We have 2 red noses in our house, and one from last year, I wonder if they're a fire risk... oh wait.. .. my house content is 90% paper.

I think Terry Wogan presents children in need, I think it's Lenny Henry who presents comic relief, But even so £3000 per hour when it's for charity is very steep, however he does pull in the viewing figures, so perhaps they still recieve more donations, even after paying out his £3000 ph.

I can't wait for that, jewels. I loved the first clip that she did with Dr. Who. That was funny :)

And seeing men cry just gets me going...

Edit: I love watching clips of the reality of what happens in different parts of the world. Sometimes we forget what things are like outside of our 'happy lives'. It's sad to watch, but such a good reminder for all of us, :( We have so much to be grateful for... And we have so much we can give...

/hugs

What a great show it was, a great line up of comic's and so many famous faces all doing there bit for comic relief. Some of the stories had me in tears, but at least we are all doing our bit to help the suffering.

It was mentioned a few times last night, about Terry Wogan, although he doesn't host comic relief but children in need ( Friday 16th November 2007)

It was brilliant! I've just watched it again on that link and it still tickles me!!

Can you imagine George Bush doing something similar?!! I could see Prince Charles doing it ..... "Is one bovvered?"

We did the Sweepstake Poster at work; it raised £40 - not a lot to us but to think that it could buy 16 nets to protect people from malaria is something good! As they kept saying last night, every penny counts!

Next time round, if you have at least 40 people in your work place (or school/college), request a sweepstake poster - it's easy to do! This year, you had to pay £2 and put your name next to a person on the poster then once all names had gone and the silver panel was rubbed off to reveal which person it was then the guesser would win £40 and the other £40 went to Comic Relief! Simple! Everybody has a chance of winning!
