Hey I used to love Leo when I was a little teeney-bopper....his Romeo made me fall madly in love <3 He's actually really good in The Beach, that's a freaking awesome movie.

Favourite Film: God I have no idea....many for different reasons, but usually my pick goes to Zoolander

Favourite Director: No idea

Favourite Actor: Hmm....I would say...uhhhh....I would say I got too much sun today so I can't think. I'll just go with Ben Stiller for now (One man with five syllables: Der-ek Zoo-lan-der!)

Favourite Actress: Erm...none...definitely not Jolie hahaha

Favourite TV show: M*A*S*H (I know it's ancient but still so amazing, makes me laugh every time I watch it and there's something to be said for that)

Favourite Anime: Pokemon (gotta catch 'em all.....so often on isketch it looks like people start drawing Pokeballs but they end up to be something else. Frequently a few guesses at pokeball though)

Favourite Film Soundtrack: Requiem For A Dream (Darren Aronofsky) composed by Clint Mansell and performed by the Kronos Quartet. Amazing movie with such a powerful soundtrack.

Favourite Animated Film: I always loved Beauty and the Beast

Favourite Musical: So many. Fiddler on the Roof, but no girl can resist Grease

That's not fair! He was still good in Titanic but have you seen his other films? The Beach, Basketball Diaries, What's Eating Gilbert Grape, The Departed, Blood diamond, Catch Me If You Can.. etc etc..

So talented! ^__~.. *faints*

Anime is just short for animation. They don't call it Anime in Japan, it's just a western thing. I think Anime literally means 'Japanese style of cartoon'. To insult anime like that I have to assume you haven't seen any o.o. Naruto and Pokemon don't count xD. Hehe..

There are a couple of Bleach fans on the forum too.
Not that I mind, it's your opinion. I thought it was pretty rubbish to start off with but it gets better. I think you have to give anime a chance and watch it with an open mind. I wouldn't mind watching a few more anime but I don't have time atm :)

Anime is Japanese for animation, which is why I guess we call it Anime when it comes from Japan.

Anime is a collective term really: Saying all Anime is 'rubbish' is like saying horror films are 'rubbish'. Some are ok, some are great, some are pants.

Note: I used 'rubbish' rather than 'gay'. I don't know if you meant that all anime is either very happy, brightly coloured, or of a homosexual nature, but none of these seem to fit into the context of your post and I would request that it is not used as a term to describe inferiority or poor quality.

Anime is not Japanese for animation. It's an abbreviation there too.

Sorry, let me clarify. It is a Japanese word adapted from the English 'animation', and is used in Japan to describe all forms of animation, not just homegrown stuff. It is an abbreviated term, but used as a word in its own right. The Anime term we use, is an adoption of the Japanese abbreviated term, and not technically an abbreviation of the English word animation, although it works. Not that this was really the point I was trying to make.

Agree with your post though. It's like saying all Movies are rubbish. Unless you really hate any sort of Animation. You shouldn't generalise Anime like that as it's very varied.
