As Friday 13th is coming up next week in the UK.... I wondered if anyone had any stories?

Do you think it's an unlucky day? Or is it just a load of superstitious nonsense?

Has anything bad happened to you on Friday 13th?

If you think something's going to happen, it probably will.

You can spend your whole journey looking out for people who you think are going to walk in front of your car, then you don't see the traffic has stopped and you run into the back of someone.

Or you can sit in the house all day, scared to go out, then fall over the cat because you worry so much about a silly date that you forgot to feed it.

Nothing's ever happened to me on the 13th of any month. Although I did die on a Saturday once O.o

I don't believe in it. I don't believe any particular day is considered as "unlucky"..

As far as bad things that happen on Friday 13th, I just believe that is a coincidence. Just like bad things happening on any other day, to any other person around the world. Things happen every day. Every day, someone is faced with an experience that makes it a little "unlucky". That's just my views on things :) I can't say anything bad *has* happened on Friday 13th for me, 'cause I think I mentally block out that it's even Friday 13th. It's just not important for me. It's like any other day, to be honest.

I know others may disagree, and believe in it, and I have no problem with that. I just personally don't myself :)

Friday 13th is a superstitious little scam to make people stay at home so they most likely watch the home shopping channel and buy stuff they don't need but already have four of.

That said, I have an assignment due that day, it's a tough course so maybe it will be unlucky. Posting it out on the 12th should help, although what if it doesn't reach my tutor on the 13th? :o

neh, friday the 13th isnt that bad, my friend was actually born on that day XD, and my brother's bday was then too last year, but w/e. doesnt matter so much to me.

actually, one year?, there were about 3-4 friday the 13ths and annoyingly so. i always got pop quizzes and tests then...so i wonder......but this coming one shouldnt be too bad, i'll have no school by then :)

Nope, dont believe any Friday the 13th is any more unlucky than any other time of the year could be. When I was a kid, I used to hear that a lot, but never seen anything happen for me to believe it has any significance. I do like it that they sometimes put out scary movies on that day. The actual movie that is named after that day is ok(I like the first few movies anyway but its getting old after what, 10 or so of the same old.)

I need a choice that Friday the 13th is a lucky number. My parents met on a Friday the 13th and 13 has always been a lucky number for the whole family. If there ever were such a curse I think we broke it!
