Well, for now.
Good luck with that, it takes ages. It's better to not have expectations on a response to an admin application. As you can imagine, they get a lot of people applying (individual responses are unlikely unless you're chosen). I remember a few weeks ago, someone on the game told me that they're taking "ages to reply". I asked when they had applied to be an admin, and they said "3 days ago". Heh, people have been waiting years.

And I was just thinking about what you said regarding registrations. It came across as though you want to create them (if I'm not wrong) and develop the game further. Maybe Rob does already know how to do it, anyway. Since admins have registrations, already. It could be other things preventing him from doing it right now. And it might not be external help that is needed. That's just me speculating though, :P. I'm sure we'll get them when he's ready for it.

But if Rob needs you I guess you'll get chosen, so good luck with that. :)

Well, about the reply, I am just going to hope for the best, as I want to help the community.

About registrations, as to whether registrations has been done and just not available could be wrong, I think the admin accounts are hardwired into the database rather than done via registration, although I could be wrong.

I'll just hope, and maybe I'll have some luck. On the application for admin, it says recommendations, if I could get a few of those, I would stand I better chance I guess, so if you are willing to recommend me to help, please PM me so I can include you in my reommendation for application.

Regards,
Matthew

Hi Matthew,

I think when they ask for recommendations - what they mean is recommendations by existing admin's.

Remember that Rob is smart enough to build isketch from scratch. It's a fantastic game with some really great, clever details within. I think he'd know how to do both handwired registrations and regular registrations. :) Of course, that's a huge guess, 'cause I don't know him. But if he's got the brains to do that, he certainly wouldn't need someone else to do it for him. I'm sure we'll get them when he's ready to do so :) Just a random guess.. but I don't think he's waiting for external help. He's smaaaaaart... look at isketch. lol

Don't get me wrong, I know you want to help the community and good luck with your application. And I'm not saying that you think Rob doesn't know how to do it. But that's how I read it... so if I read you all wrong, do correct me :)

Just out of curiosity ('cause I'm nosy..) what did you do at InkLink?

Am I the only one who hasn't played? (sorry Matt :P )
I found iSketch first... and then stayed. I would go check it out now, but well, what can I say? I don't want another addiction. *chuckle*

ROFL ROFL ROFL.. that is sooo true. And how did Inklink even get noticed on an iSketch forum....? The only thing I remember about that game were the little bubbles that pop up when people talking and learning new combinations on old swear words.

Anyways, seeing Rob's name and Inklink in the same thread has made me feel a little "green at the gills". I think I will go to bed.

zMatt... you may want to share your experience and expertise with Rob, you and he may hit it off really well, but the role of admins is in enforcing rules and maintaining a fun game experience for all (not coding).
