Hoax Pictures/emails

We've all seen some of these emails: obvious scams, not so obvious scams, phishing emails, 'incredible photo' emails, chain emails.

Here are some manipulated photographs which have done the rounds:

A composite of two images; nice work though!

Another composite...

A picture from an email claiming the bathroom floor had been painted to look like this. Of course it hasn't, it's a nice bit of photoshopping!

More information on these and others can be found at:

and

What's the weirdest/most remarkable email of this type you've received?

I have received so many i can't remember which one was best. But in any case, if it's too good to be true, check on snopes.com and see if it's there. Like them UFOs over haiti thing a few weeks back, complete hoax.

Pootsie is on a distinguished road
I wish I could find the website, but I don't remember exactly what to look for. A friend once sent me an outraged email about the practice of "raising cats in plastic boxes". The site claimed that the animals were put into clear plastic boxes as kittens, where they were fed with tubes, and grew into a nice pleasing and convenient square shape. The website was actually put together in a professional manner, and claimed that you could order one of these convenient pets. The fact that she fell for it made it very funny!

ROFL... that website does no longer exist. They were called Bonsai Kittens. Indeed, it was a hoax and a hilarious one if you ask me. A copy of it can still be found here, but this is only the first build. The site got a more professional look afterwards. The outrage! lol
