hot or cold

what are your thoughts on the weather.. would you rather live in the hot weather or cold wintery weather, and no warm isnt an option, because that would be too humane

Umm I pressed hot, but then realised actually I'd prefer it to be snowy.

Depends how hot we're talking, I guess.

I chose hot. I'm not much of a fan for the cold weather. I do love snow (just for one to two days, because it's fun and different), but I'd prefer the hot weather any day. :)

meh...i just chose hot, but then i realized your question was about where you want to live...i'd rather live in a cold country, but i would much rather be hot than cold, lol. coz if you're cold, you could put on more clothes, but then it's all bulky and uncomfortable and i hate wearing too many layers. if you were hot though, you could just fan yourself, or buy a mini-handheld fan and that's sorted! :P cold means turn the heater on = higher elec. bill. lol.

but i would prefer to live in a cold country. i lived in a hot one all my life, and i associate hot with dust, pollution, sweat and grime. i've been living in scotland for two years now, and i associate cold with refreshing, cool, wet, clean, breezy...

heh, that's true. XD
I still prefer the hot weather though. I think it has a lot to do with where I live. It's generally tight, and cold here, with very little fresh air. And the summer makes that different :D I get ill less in the summer. It's nice to go out for long walks, play sports in the garden, etc. Stuff that you can't do in the winter :( I do generally feel much healtier in a hotter climate.

It gets difficult sleeping at night.. but I still prefer sleeping in the hotness rather than coldness. Sleeping with lots of clothing on is hard.. sleeping with little clothing.. well, you get my point, lol.

we live in igloos. we consider anything above 10C to be hot.

okay. we really have four seasons. we have a really wide range in temperature... -40C to 35C about.

i still love the winter. i think it's a lot easier to warm up then it is to cool down. and i hate feeling sweaty and sticky.

I chose cold. I perfer being hot, but I associate summer with all kinds of insects, and I'd rather be cold than surrounded by gross insects.

Ask Robbie Williams -haha

I totally agree though, I'm a cold weather person. Well... the most comfortable temperature range is 12 ~ 21 °C to me, but I can deal with -2 ~ 23 °C. In less humid places the range is bigger (especially on the cold side), but where I am, -2 is a cold, humid wind trying to cut you in half.

I feel so listless and unenergetic on hot (+ 25°C) days...! Unless I have a lake / sea to swim in, of course. But I live far from those, and I hate pools

well, I don't like to be cold but I don't like to be hot either.

BUT, I like it went it's cold outside. Like Ele said, you can put more layers on or get a hot water bottle. I treat mine like a blankie, can't go anywhere without it!!

I adore crisp cold, like Germany. Cold in the UK is different and a bit pants tbh. Bring on real cold!!
I vote Cold climate.

Thinking about it, although I voted hot, the main thing is, whether the sun is out or not.
I have noticed, whilst trying to pull out of a turning at the bottom of my road, on a cloudy/rainy day I am sat there for ages trying to edge my car out, yet when the sun is out other drivers seem happy and are willing to stop their car to let me out, the same applies if i'm trying to cross the road, when it's sunny everyone seems in a better mood and lets me cross.

* jewels skips off singing the sun has got his hat on.

edit: when it's hot/sunny doesn't the sun bring your red blood cells to the surface making you feel a bit ( for want of a better word) frisky ?

I've always preferred the cold for the following reason ..

If you're too cold you can always put on another layer of clothes. When you're too hot there's only so many clothes you can take off before the police are called

I guess the men in your signature were feeling too hot then, Fen..

I'm actually quite surprised with the results so far. I thought hot would be the favourite out of the two. Seriously though.. the cold just keeps you indoors a lot of the time. I really dislike going out in the cold :|

Nah, Nerdy. It's just that summer is the popular season! In summer, everything closes because obviously everybody's on a holiday for the full month of July! Everybody loves it because... everybody else says they love it too! Can't stay behind there, can we?
(So in the end we end up being listless in the sun doing next to nothing all summer except for the few days we actually make a trip to somewhere else if we have the money for it...). And those places are then overcrowded with kids and sweet smells, sweat, humidity and obnoxious people.

Yep, we all love the summer!

(This was overly pessimistic, just to be a counterweight)

Ah but getting out in the cold is wonderful nerds... i tell you i miss trying to get to school in a -32 centigrade (without the windchill added) in a blizzard. Hilarious times.

And the cold made hiking more interesting. I like having seasons, that's mainly my thing. I live now in a place that has 2 seasons, wet and dry, and two weather conditions, dry heat and moist heat. Right now it's wet with plenty of moist heat, it rains every day and it has intervals of sunlight to evaporate all that wonderful water. It never gets cold. I miss being cold.

Ive chosen HOT.
Ilove to walk around in floaty skimpy tops, and shorts or skirts, id gladly live in the tropics.
And as for feeling fresh, all i do is take more cool showers and change clothes when i feel dirty ans sweaty, i always like to feel clean.
I could live in the cold and still be happy. but i prefer garden parties family barbecues ect.
