I voted Connections, 2WBP and English Expert. I love mish-mash, tandem, 5-strokes, Anything But etc, but I think in some of those rooms, the rules can be a little hazy and it would be too easy for someone to be accused of breaking them (especially in Anything But). I think 5-strokes often comes down to how appropriate your word is, just as much as how good your drawing skills are.

Edit: Just a little bit confused here - which is just like me. Don't forget that in total there will be nine rounds. I do think that perhaps we should stick to English Easy UK & US for round 1, English Basic UK & US for the Semi Finals and English UK & US for the Final Round. The top three of this poll will then be selected for the third games in each round. Does that make sense or am I making a right pig's ear of it

Surely we can't have english easy as a final game in a round???

Tournament organizers have stated that the hardest type of game will be played last, don't worry. Which type of game is hardest is still TBD, but English easy it will not be. TF is going to have to make the choice of which games the tournament will see and the order they'll be played in soon.

Oh I missed the poll but I do prefer Easy, 5 strokes and 2WBP to any other.

I should have posted earlier but I would have preferred to keep the same game and rules throughout the tournament (yes, yes, I know Easy is my strongest room) just so that we could compete against the players from other groups and to get a true test of strength so to speak.

English Easy (UK & US) would have been the level playing field. I would prefer regular tournaments but with a different game/room/wordlist for each one. One month Expert and the next Blitz for instance. Some of us might enter every single one but others will just enter the ones they are strongest in which hopefully will encourage more entries.

I'm sure TF would be happy to organise every single tourny for the forseeable future (only joking TF!)

I did like Blitz personally... but we could end up with a four way tie which would only cause more stress and angst for the players concerned. Certainly for the next tournament, we could perhaps work it in!

Good idea taking a poll TF! One question - how will Mish Mash be moderated in the final round? Since N (normal) draws are permitted in standard Mish Mash, could a player choose this option for their draw in the tournament? Or how about NS

I do prefer Blitz as well sense/net... but judging by the member's reaction (though the poll does suggest otherwise) I think it would be a no-no. The final round is not set in stone - it is still open for debate - though for the sake of any arguments - I will not change the current suggested format for the First and Semi Final Rounds - in the words of my mentor and whom I shall aspire to be one day "This lady is not for turning" .

As for Mish Mash - I think it would end the Tournament in a fun kind of way - it is a game after all and this particular style was masterminded by a player and gives the drawer much greater scope. Of course - N00b Style is part of the concept - I dare anyone in the finals however, to do it!
