Legendary TV Hosts

OK, so we hijacked someone's introduction thread to talk about our favourite TV hosts. I thought I'd start my own thread about it.

Everyone has a set of TV personalities that they enjoyed watching on TV, whether it be for the type of show, or just being a fan of the people themselves.

Which TV programs do you watch or used to watch, and who are your TV heroes past and/or present?

Richard O'Brien! The Crystal Maze was awesome.

And sorry Fox, I'm getting in there with Derren Brown before you do :P Also went to see him in Glasgow and he was very cool.

:o :o I was thinking of Richard O'Brien too. Creepsies. I was just going to call him "The Crystal Maze man" though. hehe. Seeing as you've mentioned Derren I'd might as well restate my love for him. :) hehe. I'm going to see him in a few months, too. :) If he has me up on stage I will, without doubt, be thrown out of the theatre for improper conduct but it will be worth it. hehe. Love love love him. I think that he's one of the smartest people in the world, and an excellent entertainer too.

Yay great thread! :)
Richard O'Brien and Pat Sharp were brilliant, along with Roy Walker and the legend that no human presenter could ever surpass.... Gordon the Gopher! Hmmm... that also brings to mind Ed the Duck and his side-kick Andi Peters :p

There is something incredibly fanciable about him.

EDIT: OK, THANKS Sparrow, I was talking about Derren - NOT Gordon the Gopher...

Richard O'Brien is just too cool. I think he's probably single handedly responsible for making a whole generation just that little bit kinky :P

Hahaha.

Oh, and Sparrow, I had a Gordon the Gopher puppet, and it squeaked and everything. :P hehe. Zig & Zag were good TV hosts too. :)

Haha, maybe we're just one person, Vik. We've never been seen in the same room... It's possible!
* Fox sings the X-Files theme-tune.

Eeb, you know who I like now? Richard Bacon. The fellow who was kicked off of Blue Peter for cocaine consumption... now he seems to be the substitute-teacher of the TV presenter world. He sometimes does The Wright Stuff when Mr. Wright is unable to attend, and I think he's really good.

Oh, naturally love Wrighty too. hehe

OH what about Jimmy Savile? Haha. He's brilliant. I saw him in a park a while ago, he was sitting on a bench wearing a bright bright blue tracksuit. :) Oh, and I also saw The Chuckle Brothers once, umm, I think that it was in Morrisons but I don't really remember as I was much younger at the time. Loved those guys.

Noooooooooo!! NO NO NO NO NO!! I saw what Sorsie said and I may as well have cacked myself cos I went "please let me scroll down and find nerdy hasn't seen that yet, please, please!!!" Damnit Nerdy!
Just for the record I did not want to marry Mr Blobby or Batman despite what my sisters and brother-in-law will say. Oh and also Aladdin lol. I was about four years when my parents went away on holiday so to get me to eat my rice my sister added peas in it to make me think it was Mr Blobby (lmao, stupid child I know) and they shaped my bread to make it look like Mickey Mouse (oh boy, I sound really stupid now )

* *AJ* requests a plate of Nemos the next time she feels lonely :p

Anyway, back to the topic, you guys have mentioned pretty much everyone I can think of. Oh and Roy Walker (as mentioned in the intro thread) He does Carp park catchphrase on the Chris Moyles show.. well they stopped it in 2009 :p

Andi Peters was great, he pops up every now and then in the most random shows.

Fox, did you say "to me to you, to me to you" when you saw Paul and Barry Chuckle.

Did anyone watch the Disney channel? That bloke Nigel was a good presenter. Presenters these days are a bit nafff. (Oh dar God, I said "these days" )

Julia Zemiro.
She's one of those women that have this fascinating appeal to men, without being (to look at) someone that I would class as overly attractive. Someone tried to take her place on Rock Wiz a few weeks ago, and seriously, the show was not the same, I could barely watch it. She has something, that's for sure.
