As the 5th season has started I'm wondering who is watching this show? does anyone here have theories

I don't really watch Lost any more.

The first couple of series were brilliant, especially the first few episodes. I thought it was an outstanding storyline when it was first aired, and I never used to miss an episode.

In my opinion, however, I think it has gone on a bit too long. Apparently they're not 'Lost' any more, which in my eyes defeats the object of the story.

I mean, don't get me wrong, I used to really enjoy this show, there is/was a load of hype about it.

I used to watch the show.. got up to series... 3 I think? Lol. I dunno it seemed to just.. keep on going and it lost it's appeal.. also the whole sky thing changing the channels so I couldn't watch it anyways and so now yeah. :P

I think it was a pretty good show but I think they have dragged it out too much.. :P But maybe I just see it this way because I stopped watching it :P

I looovee LOST! I'm stuck with it after being hooked early on, it did take a dip in form but the last series was prettty goood. That said I was a bit underwhelmed by the first two epdisodes but I'm sure it will build up to a great finale. I am worried though that they wont answer all the mysteries becauseee there aren't alot of episodes leftt and it will forever plagueee me as to what a smoke monster is. They are still lost db! Well some of them are and more lost than ever it seems... My only stab at a theory is the Locke isn't really dead but I guess that seemed a bit obvious the way they were treating his body.

well I saw some, pre-season thign with the writers, and they say that "this series will answer more questions, than it asks!!" but haha, how could we guess that. I still enjoyed the last series with the ships and pennys father. Yeah lockes death made it interesting, and I want to knwo more about jacob, and "the others" As Ben wants to kill Penny, for revenge. the alliances and story and everything around it really does seem to build up quite nicely, but this would all be confusing for those who aren't into the show enough! As ben always seems to have "someone" on his side. and desmond and daniel are becoming more interesting. and obviously claires disapperance is somewhat forgotten, as is a few other characters.

I used to watch Lost, I probably watched about 2 series and maybe the start of the third or soemthing. Then that whole Sky one thing happened and cable viewers couldn't watch Lost anymore and channel 5 couldn't show Prison Break either. Now we can watch Sky one as cable customers I've missed out on about 2 series of Lost. I need to catch up on it but wondering if it's worth it. Plus I don't even know what channel Sky one is 'cause I barely use our tv these days lol.

I'm a HUGEEEEEEEEEEE fan of Lost. Absolutely love it!
Since the first series, i've realised they link a lot of stuff together (for example, someone in episode 3 would be linked to episode 14), therefore i watch each episode very carefully and try to pick up clues.

I think this season has started off ok. It wasn't as mind blowing as the the opening of season 3 but still good. I am looking forward to some questions being answered and how things develop within the characters.

If anyone is into Physics, i think they would like the show and would probably understand it better than anyone else!! I admit my brain has a limit when it comes to understanding physics stuff so sometimes i need to try and get my head around the explanations that they give!

I'm not sure i have a theory as every time i think of one....it changes! It's probably to do with the government starting it off as a "secret" experiment but then it goes wrong after Ben kills the Dharma gang.
I definitely think that all the characters are somehow linked to each other and are all there for a reason.

I just saw a good theory! Which is that the island jumping around through timeee is like when Desmond was jumping about through time and the Oceanic Six need to return to the island because they are the island's constant soo without them everyone on the island gets lostt in time forevvvvvverrr. It explains why they have to go back and also Charlottes's nose bleedd!

Urrr, dunno if my theory is the same as the above but my theory for why they have to go back is because the island has an independent spacetime from the universe that surrounds it (remember how there's a certain radius around the island which if you don't get out of you're screwed if it changes it's place in time) so when they left the island they fusked up it's past/future equilibrium cos now they're not there in the future when they should because they're not in the right spacetime. Well, something like that, it
makes sense in my head, lol.

I still wanna know why that freaking statue only has 3 toes!!!!

Yayyy Lost. I've been avoiding this thread like rudders, because I don't have Sky so I have to have one of my friends tape it for me every week and bring me the tape on Mondays, but the ruddy bugger forgot until today. Just watched it though and so glad to have it back on. When the people were getting Sawyer and Juliet near the end and then they got buggered, did anyone else start chanting "JOHN. LOCKE. JOHN. LOCKE. JOHN. LOCKE."?

That is a very good theory indeed and actually is believable. I was thinking that Charlotte's nosebleed must have something to do her time travelling and that maybe she needs to find her constant or something. I remember her being in an episode where she was discovering a fossil of a polar bear (i think on the island??) which means she was there from the early days...

I also just realised that the woman at the end of the second episode was also in season 3. Desmond was buying an engagement ring off her but she told him not to cos he was gonna be on the island and spend his life pushing a button to save the world. And if he didn't it would be disastrous.

Onlyyy she found that polar bear in Tunisia. I think it got there when Dharma tried space/time travel experiments and I think that was where Ben woke up in that episode with the big down jacket on and in the desert. Then he killed everyone with his ninja stick.

Has anyone seen the latest one...(ohh spoiler things aren't working so I'll cross it out?)


I just wanted to say that I thought it had one of the silliest lines I've heard for a while... When Juliette and Locke are looking down on the camp andd Locke starts asking about Richard, how old is he? Causee you know he doesn't age and stufff and he's always been thereee so Locke asks some more and Juliette says "Why are you so interested in Richard?" Ummm maybe it's because he's superhuman! Anyway apart from that I thought it was reallyy entertaining.


Desmond is soo cool too.

i used to watch lost, but it got to the point where nothing got explained. like, i don't know if they could possibly find a conclusion to tie everything up satisfactorally... and make sense of it all. hopefully it won't amount to a disappointing anticlimax such as 'and then they all woke up and it was all a dream' sort of thing...

I haven't read through this whole thread as I've missed a lot of episodes and the new season isn't on here yet so I didn't wanna spoil anything!!
But yea I watched the first couple of seasons and really liked it, I've lost a bit of interest as it's dragged on though.. and last season I found myself more and more confused as I missed a few eps hehe.
But I'll definitely keep watching it as I'm eager to find the answers to all the mysteries!!

Just passing the halfway point of season 5 here in the U.S. It's been confusing but fun. Anyone who has been hooked on LOST should try to hang in there, it's giving some interesting answers and of course, a bunch more new mysteries to theorize about.

The last series is definitely the best I think 'cause it's going so quickly with good momentum. All the episodes have been great and there have hardly been any groaningly poor bits. Plus they are just straight up answering questions now :D

Anyonee got a good idea of how the two time lines are related?

Ahh I'm still watching. :) I wouldn't say that it's the best, I preferred it back when it was a bit more character-based but yeah the story is going along nicely now and I'm not tiring of it or anything. :)

I thought that Ilana was the sexy one to be honest. :( But hmm I'd probably say Desmond from those two. :)

Am I the only one still waiting on the Mr Eko comeback?
