Make-Up

Now don't get me wrong on this, I'm not 'fruity' (not that there's anything wrong with that) but I feel being a red blooded male that I would wear make-up...
I dont mean like eye-liner and rouge etc but just a bit to make things look a bit smoother, a bit more presentable. I moisturise and all that but feel I could do more.
What do you think chaps? Would you? And ladies would you appreciate your bloke donning a bit of slap to look nicer for you?
Anyway must dash, these heels are killing me.

Personally, I wouldn't like a future Mr AJ (gosh that look funny) to wear make up. Sure he can use moisturisers and just look presentable, but I don't really wear any make up on a daily basis so if he was to wear make up, I hope it wouldn't be more than me
Would you like to wear foundation? That might make you look 'smoother'.
If you have an uneven skin tone or you're slightly paranoid about scars you might wanna try it out. The right kind will give you a lovely glow. (If that what you want of course)

I'm so not girlie so a lot of the women or even men on here may disagree with me :| hehe

I do not consider myself girlie , but feminine and like to try to make the most of myself (like most females do) so why shouldn't males do the same, although I'm not to keen on guys in make-up. The beauty salon I go to has as many male clients as females, alot of the males have facials, eyebrow trims and waxes....GO FOR IT GUYS

edit:pnigh hun, please can I borrow some mascara? joking, it's nice to see a guy who takes pride in his appearance.

lol Pnigh, that last sentence cracked me up.

Maybe the guys here (I mean in Germany, not on the forum) are a little more backward about being in touch with their feminine side, but I know Mr. Vik gave me funny looks and told me not to tell his friends the day I presuaded him to put a dab of moisturiser on some dry skin as a result of getting sunburnt a few days before.

I have always liked a more rough and ready look in men and have never liked the daily flawless look in either men or women although I think artistically it can be very striking. On a day to day basis our 'flaws' are sometimes what make us unique and beautiful.

I don't wear make-up unless I am going out somewhere smart or feeling nervous (it's a shield, sometimes) and I would feel weird about my man doing the same. I'd also feel weird if he started buying designer clothes and such, we're quite down to earth people.

So, yeah, moisturise to your heart's content, but don't hide your lovely male loveliness!

I cannot see anything wrong in men wearing cosmetics.
Women wear it to enhance there looks, so why cant men, women do not monopolize the makeup industry do they??.
Thats like saying women shouldent play football or wear trousers ect, double standards.
Go for it men do as you like, some women will like it others will not, but hey there is always a female who will love you for it.

i love my make up and i dont leave the house unless i have at least full foundation at least one shade of eyeshadow, blushe and lippy but the thought of my other half wearing make up is weird.
when i'm doing a show looking at the men with their make up on is strange enough. but on a daily basis?
do you mean just a little bit of cover up? cause if you do i dont think there's any point cause it just puts emphasis on the fact you have a flaw and very few people get the "just a little bit of cover up" look right.

there was a guy i used to go to school with and he wore a tinted moisturiser and used be so obvious cause it would be all orangy around his eyebrows.
boys if you're gonna do it learn to blend

and if men wore make up to theres a chance our colours would mixed when we kissed, lol
on a final note i dont want men to wear make up CAUSE IT'S ALL MINE mwahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know this is the new millennium and we're all new age men and that.. sensitive and all that other soppy stuff women say they like sometimes when it suits them... :P

... but make up is taking it just a tad too far for me...

If you can make it look good; go ahead. But that goes for both men and women. I'm not a big fan of make-up though, so if people use it I prefer it to be very neutral -- just to enhance some features or to add a splash of colour somewhere. But I have to say that most people look best without.

And you know, moisturisers and ointments aren't make up. There's nothing wrong with taking proper care of your skin (and the rest of your body -- that includes hair). We're out of the stone age already!

I definitely think it's great if a guy does take care of himself- exercise, eat right, skin care, etc... Even though it's a tad hypocritical of me to say this considering I do wear makeup, It would be a bit weird for me to say be with someone who wore just as much. Perhaps it's stereotyping on my behalf, but I suppose I just think guys don't need it. Not like women do or anything, but I see it as a more feminine trend to take the time to get ready, pick out the right outfits, put on hair and makeup. I don't have anything against guys that do wear makeup though, just not my thing I guess. Interesting thread :).
