God called ZK home today.(21 May 2009). He lost his battle with cancer.
I have been blessed to have been able to call him my friend, and we were lucky enough to say our goodbyes to each other 2 nights ago. I will miss him terribly. Zach, you were my friend and I am a better person from knowing you. You were so brave. I know that now you are running through the fields and enjoying doing all the things that the cancer took from you. I love you honey. Save me a seat in Heaven.

Oh my. Zeekay was a really brave guy and he showed a lot of strength. He wasn't on the forum long, got to make new friends and he will indeed be missed. He was a great dad to Oli.

I didnt really know ZK except for seeing him posting around a lil bit........
but when i saw Shiny Penny's post, i cried........I just felt a part of me falling away.

ZK was an amazing father. I thought he was very sweet. I loved hearing his love for his son, and what struggles he went through. He was a very sensitive guy, and a real gentleman.

My thoughts and prayers are with his son and the rest of his family. It's sad to lose a father at such a young age. I hope his son will have memories of him as he grows up. His love for him was truly strong.

Could the mods please sticky this thread, so it doesn't get lost amongst all the other threads that get bumped up. I know a lot of people knew ZK - some who don't visit too regularly, so it would be good if it's at the top for everyone to see.

It is the least I can do :(

I enjoyed reading his posts and it was evident that he loved his son very much. Cancer is a cruel, indiscriminate disease but at least he is no longer suffering now and is at peace.

I only had a handful of conversations with ZK, but it was still easy to see that he was a lovely guy. He will surely be missed.

That's really sad.

My condolences to all the people in his life who have been affected by his loss. He might not be there physically anymore, but the experiences and emotions he left behind will be indelible.

I also didn't know ZK well but he appeared to be a nice guy from what I saw on here (whenever i saw him, I don't usually post much). Rest In Peace ZK and best wishes condolences to his family.

I had never met ZK, but I wish I had. He sounds like a wonderful person. I know he'll be missed by everyone who knew and loved him. RIP, ZK.
