After the last tournament that kinda didn't finish, I'd like to set up a one-day mini tournament next weekend. Hopefully some people will be able to make it, or at least watch all or part of it, and I think it will be a nice little get together to have a bit of fun :)

I imagine that most people would be free on a Friday evening/Saturday morning, so I propose the time for the mini tourney be Friday 3rd June at:

Friday 18:00 Eastern US
Friday 23:00 UK and Ireland
Saturday 7:00West Aus
Saturday 9:00East Aus

If you would like to play, then you can pop your name here, it will give me an idea for numbers. You can also join right up until the day. More details will come later on, depending on how many people wish to play :)

Well, it's just going to be like a couple of ordinary games of iSk, perhaps with a few different wordlists. It shouldn't be as formal as last time, it's just a social gathering really :)

Hey again :) So the tourney will start in about 5 hours ish, so I'm going to clarify one or two things.

Wordlists
As it's not so formal this time, we'll let everyone who is playing choose a wordlist for a few rounds and then add up the final scores at the end. The number of rounds will depend on how many players we have, so that everyone draws an equal number of times.

Drawing
On your turn you may Hint, but not SKIP.
If you SKIP, you will effectively lose your opportunity to draw, as the number of rounds will decrease by 1.

Guests
The room will be private, but you can invite anyone at any time. Any invitees joining between games are kindly requested to go on /away either before or soon after joining the room. Guests and players joining after we have started may join in but only at the next wordlist change.

How do I win?
After every player has played their choice of wordlist, I'll count the number of games won for each person, and whoever wins the most games, wins the tournament.

Well, it didn't last long but I hope everyone had as much fun as I did. Well done to Aless, who won 4 out of the 5 games that we played :)
I think I've found a new love for Blitz!; it might only be temporary, but 99 round Blitz! with 20 seconds to draw was fast-paced to say the least

Yeah definitely, although I heard rumours that someone else is planning a party soon, so hopefully after that. I won't say who is planning, purely because I only saw it on facebook a couple of days ago and I'm not sure if it's going ahead or not.

I always miss any posts on tournaments.........if you are referring to the party on the june 19th in the isketch group on facebook, i have a suggestion for you. Post it there too, then i will actually know before rather than after. :D Just a quick little, planning a tournament check out the forum would work.
