I use the cursed mousepad, so can't enter the debate. I tried sketching with a mouse once and I was worse than usual, so I abandoned that.

That is true, but it takes a little getting used to with the faster pointer.
To change it: If on windows, go to start > control panel. Double click on "mouse properties". There you should see a tab "pointer options" and there you will find a tool to adjust the pointer speed.

You could buy a precision gaming mouse such as the Logitech MX518 gaming-grade optical mouse. I have one of these which my young bloke plays Counterstrike with and I occasionally use for iSketch and Trivia Quizzes.
You can really tweak the mouse which has an upto 1,600dpi optical sensor with on-the-fly sensitivity buttons. Alternatively - try buying a drawing tablet.

Haha, I'm drawing with a mouse and my drawings are okay. (Even though I'm a lefty.) Weird, eh?
* Faith giggles. |
