Yesterday I had an admin ask me if I witnessed why two people voted to kick someone out, and it was sad to say "it was because of the /insult command"...

Then I had a player ask "why didn't you vote to boot out the person that voted me?" Well, I can't. They found it offensive, so their vote is valid. Seeing that most people know that the /insult command can let out some really offensive comments, maybe people shouldn't use them, because you can't complain if someone votes you out for it.. it's not vote abuse.

Perhaps toning down the insults might help... but quite frankly... I don't mind either way. I found it funny the other night when I was 'insulting' a few friends in a friendly way.. but I certainly wouldn't use it to show my annoyance at someone.

I dunno... I always fancied myself as an Anne Robinson type... these insult commands just make my job a little bit easier

As for the other commands.... I have no real interest in them. Fun to begin with.. but now irrelevant. I am sure that the novelty will soon wear off.

Yeah, very true. I have to say it is only fun when I can use it on a friend that I know well. That's the only time I've used it. But the majority of people simply don't understand it, and therefore it's having a negative impact on isketch in general.

I think you can do better than the insults that are currently there. Far better.
And I also really dislike the fact that one of the insults contains the word 'handicapped' as an insult. Rawrr...

I think the insult command is brilliant! I had somebody tell me a couple of days ago that they were going to report me for throwing an insult at them! I told them to go ahead and report me for using an isketch command!

I do think the "novelty" will wear off though. When I first found it I was using it every other command! Just before it decided to have a breakdown on us, I was using it just a few times - mainly at FairyNuff because she deserves to be insulted on a regular basis!!

I just noticed something new.

When it's your turn to draw.....and you don't do anything....it would say "Tigeress seems to be asleep...." etc etc
And now....it would automatically put you on away!!

Yeah I noticed that too. I agree, very clever! :) And we don't have to worry about players skipping people while they're 'sleeping'. I've seen a few times that this has caused admins to come in the room, only to find that it's because the person wasn't there to draw. Patience, players. Patience...

Has anyone else noticed that we don't have much of a 'ghost' problem anymore? I wonder if it's fixed? Because twice so far (since the upgrade that Rob did that day), I've turned into a 'ghost', but only for less than 30 seconds-ish. Usually it would be for at least 5 minutes, and I can't log back in under the same name, because I'm still "in" the room.

Maybe it's all in my head..

As we said to people moaning about isketch being down and then a little twitchy for a while, the server does need updating from time to time and this time players have noticed some of the results.
