Ok, here's the lowdown:
For some reason I can't play. This started about a month back. I log on to iSketch and get into the lobby and then it freezes up when I try to click on a room or else it will time out and give me "Game connection lost. Click here to log in again". I would try logging back in only to be told that someone with my user name was already logged on, I was ghosted in the game. For a short time it did let me log in and play using another name, but when I tried using my normal moniker it would freeze up again. It would then let me go on with another name but wouldn't let me in the room that my ghost was in. Now I can't play at all, even with pseudonyms. It just freezes up or loses connection. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling shockwave at least 20 times. Tried uninstalling Firefox and IE and reinstalling. Tried out Opera. Nothing works. Could it be my ISP blocking me? I am soon changing providers so if that is the case we will see, but in the meantime, anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Tri |

Strange problem... I doubt your ISP would block anything.
Could it be your firewall? Have you tried putting isketch into your allowed sites, or even tried turning it off completely - just for a few mins to test, of course. I have a similar issue sometimes, but this is due to my wireless network dropping connectivity for a brief period - long enough for me to lose isketch connection - then reconnecting. Also, if you're using a router you may have another firewall or extra security features on that hardware.

The same thing happens to me... After a while, like 10 minutes or more it loggs me off, saying that my game connection was lost.

Also... other advice that has been offered is turn off all your game settings etc. Firefox has caused me alot of problems and now it is safer to use IE - especially if you are in a critical game (such as the Tournament - shameless plug
Reporting your problem to feedback is also a sure fire way to get the problem resolved however - they are the ones who know of the current glitches and if they are unaware of the full scale of the problem, then they will be now

Hey Ches,
Thanks for the tips, alas i also tried disabling firewalls and antivirus as well as allowing access to isketch.net through firewall and browser security, all to no avail. I am running through a modem and a router I tried direct linking through the modem still no luck. I port forwarded to port 1627 on both modem and router. No go. Just for schlitz and giggles I tried one of my past pseudonyms and it hasn't d/c yet, but it seems to hate my normal name or any other names that I have tried besides this one. WTH is going on in sketchland? Tri |

Have you tried Internet Explorer as TempusFugit said? It's the only thing that works for me--Firefox just doesn't cut it when it comes to iSketch...

if you fully read my first post you will see that I have tried with firefox, IE and opera, all having the same problems. I have been playing isketch for 2 years on FF with no problems till now.

EDIT: nevermind, you have reinstalled browsers, i assume with the latest versions. Reinstall windows, there's something bugging your computer.

Best luck you'll have is probably reinstalling windows as 2.0 has stated. I'd definitely go for it too. Can't guarantee it will work, but there is a very, very strong chance that it shall. |

There is a new version of shockwave released just this week. It might be worth a try.
