View Full Version : 20 Questions (Adapted)

I don't think this has been done before.
It is a cross between 20 Questions and I Spy.
---Gameplay ---
The first person starts off by thinking of an object and posts the first letter of that object.
Others guess by asking questions that can yield a 'yes' or 'no' answer only.
Each player can only ask one question or guess one object in between each of the thinker-of-the-object's replies.
The first person to guess the object correctly continues the game by posting the first letter of their chosen object.
If it takes more than 20 questions to guess the "object", gameplay continues until someone correctly guesses.
All questions should be numbered in numerical order.
Guesses do not need to be numbered.
I'll start off.
This object starts with the letter H.

Ahhh, with stuff. A mixture of 20 questions and Eyespy?
1. Is it edible (human-wise)?

Is it edible (human-wise)?
Nope it's not
Edit: Yes storm it is like a cross between Eyespy and 20 Questions.

2. is it a kitchen accessory?
Can I just guess "Is it a hat?" Or do I have to ask "Is it an item of clothing?" first?
storm

We only have 20 questions though, so that strategy may not be the best unless you are a lucky person.
20 questions is a lot to guess an object, isn't it? :S

Should we wait for the thinker-of-the-object to answer each question before asking another one?

20 questions is a lot to guess an object, isn't it? :S
A lot? I was thinking it was too little. There are hundred of words that begin with H... It probably comes down to asking smart questions.
May be a good idea to number the questions as they're posted? To save confusion with going over pages & stuff.
Yeah, lol. *edits my first question post*
Should we wait for the thinker-of-the-object to answer each question before asking another one?
I guess... coz if it's not a kitchen accessory, for example, then it rules out a bunch of kitchen stuff, like Hob, Hotplate, etc.
Aside:
I love 20 questions xD but I suck at other people's lives. So, this is Good.

Sorry it seems to be harder than I orginally thought.
Some elaborations: It doesn't have to be 20 questions, although numbering the questions is a good idea tasha  and you can guess the object at any time. Each person can either ask 1 question or have 1 guess before the thinker-of-the-object replies :)
2. is it a kitchen accessory?
Nope
3. Can you hold it?
Not unless you are overly strong
Can I just guess "Is it a hat?" Or do I have to ask "Is it an item of clothing?" first?
It's not an item of clothing i'm afraid

28-10-2008, 12:14 AM
It's a pansy, isn't it?
P.S. Peacocks are birds, DUH. Bats aren't!
Fionical number sequence... LOLZ. It's called the Fibonacci Sequence, named after the mathematician Fibonacci, Leonard of Pisa. Have you heard of his punishment story? He had to make sums adding up to 101, or something... So he wrote 0 1 2 3 4 5... 101 in a line from left to right, and then 101 100 99 98 ... 0 below that in a line from left to right. The numbers then added up to 101, and he was done with his punishment in like... uhm... 5 minutes? IDIOTIC TEACHER TRIED TO PUNISH A MATHEMATICIAN :@ :@ I hope what I've said is true... As far as I can remember...
Anyway, his sequence is 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21... Each number is obtained by adding the last two numbers in the sequence. And yes, although the Fibonacci Sequence is present in many different ways in nature, it is NOT a living thing, and it does not have brightly-coloured flowers, although it's better than a brightly-coloured flower in itself... :D
16: No
another hint?
