Last night on iSketch somebody showed the room a link to this video about abuse on iSketch (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=yM5RpOk6q_0). I'm shocked :eek: Is this video true? I've seen an admin kick out a porn drawer once so I always thought they kept the game running well, but what the video said is not comforting!

Someone with too much time on their hands. I'd like to see this link removed, if possible.

I apologise if the link is breaking rules and if it is then remove it. Is it not true? There doesn't seem to be very many flattering iSketch videos on Youtube for some reason... just of drawings people made... a pity...

Maudlin perhaps but I wouldn't take this seriously. It's one person's opinion on youtube of which there are many ranging from the bonkers to the valid. That said, it's true that names and quotes cannot be controlled by administrators but players can kick (risking vote abuse accusation) if they are offended by either. This is probably because what one person finds offensive is not the same as another. There is no restriction on age even in cyber rooms so some of it is true. There's no need to worry unless you have a child or are a victim of online stalkers I guess.

After following your link there are all sorts of iSketch links on youtube, most of them positive. Try and emphasise the positive rather than the negative. I for one wont be following the advice on that 'How to get banned' video.

Edit: The less attention drawn to this the better. I'd suggest it's removed from this forum.

Any serious player knows that what is shown on the video is not often, and it's a direct attack on admins that actually DO stuff about abuse on isketch. That the creator sees it otherwise is one thing, but I've been a player for long enough to know that they take definitive action on abusers, otherwise we wouldn't get some many people on the forum complaining about getting banned for doing 'nothing too bad'. Names and quotes are issues indeed, but not once in the 7 years i've been playing have i seen someone claiming that they ate a baby or something of the sort. However, if any player encounters by chance any player with an offensive name, quote or behaviour, they can 1. ignore them, 2. leave the room, 3. boot them for their offensive behaviour. That vid is just sensationalism.

Is it not true?It is a narrow view of a much more complicated issue, and personally it strikes me as melodramatic. Agree with 2.0 that it is sensationalism.

Hi guys, I have moved this thread into here. Personally I think that video is just a little ridiculos and would not do much harm, but I do think it's an outright attack on Rob and the iSketch admins and thus is not to be tolerated here.

Plus I can only see grief coming from any further discussion.
