If you impersonated an admin but then explained that you are not an admin a few minutes later..will you still get in trouble for that? Do you get warnings for impersonating or joking that you are an admin?

If you are in a room and you claim to be an admin, you can get kicked of from the server. It is confusing to other players and if a player is in a real nasty situation, you are not able to help.
Most of the time there will be a regular in a room who will KNOW you are not an admin and will save you from being kicked of. If an admin sees you are claiming to be one, we will kick you, (or tease you or ask you very difficult questions to answer and then kick you anyway) depends on the admin who is in the room.

If you seriously want to become one, please press Feedback to apply. If you can't impersonate them, join them.

what if i dont deny claims to be an admin, but never say that I am?
i.e. Newb: dude, how come you skipped my draw with one vote, are you an admin?
Jmac: who knows....
Newb: you are an admin!
Newb: hey everyone watch out, Jmac is an admin!
Jmac: All I have to say is play by the rules, or I will vote against you and you might get booted.
Or something along those lines...

Interesting scenario, Jmac. My opinion is no, it is not the regular players' duty to deny being an admin and, in the case you've described, by not denying it, the rogue players will behave better. I wonder what the admins think though... :p

the question isn't: Do I have to deny I'm admin?
the case is more: let's not really pretend you are an admin, by confirming/outloud saying it when you are not. THEN you are in trouble! ;)

I always wonder when someone joins the room as Moron; did they actually logon as "Moron" or did they logon as "Admin"? Funny feature that, I do like it ;)

I agree with Birdy, we players don't need to deny to being an admin unless specifically challenged, and seeing what you said Jmac, it's what any good player should say :)

:biggrin: I had a similar situation to that. I warned someone for using letters, then they got kicked out straight away by admin and then this other player said that i was admin and that the other shouldn't do anthing wrong other wise i will kick them out. He just jumped to the conclusion that i was admin.

I didn't say anything...and i didn't get kicked for inpersonation, but do you think it's ok to say nothing? I know they might think so becuase i didn't say anything and they just assumed. (i don't think admin was in the room)
I don't think i could get in trouble but if i said i was then i probably would right?

Anyway while i was playing i put in the chat box: (after playing a few games and just let them assume)

Me: 'I find it funny that you guys think i'm admin'
(Another player): 'Are you?'
Me: 'No'

I denied i was admin like i alway do if someone thinks i am, so yeah thats my story... It was funny seeing some of them suddenly no draw rude pictures or letters because i was there. lol.

I think the kids who are bragging and impersonating like:
Hey, play by the rules, I'm admin! or behave or I'll kick you. (something a real admin won't say, I hope) so you have to brag a lot will you be kicked for impersonating an admin. They are sometimes named as admIn or adm1n cause they will be morons the moment they log in as 'admin'.

Of course what makes the biggest difference is that real admins have a great sense of humour, are intensly handsome/pretty and will never brag. They are ALWAYS calm, and sincere. They never make mistakes and are next to perfect. Thats how you recognize real admins. :D

On a serious note, real admins can always prove their legitimacy if asked by typing in bold and by their name being underlined. If they can "bold up", they are a real admin, if they can't or say that they can't, they're just playing you :)
