Admin have to put up with a lot and im sure there are some people out there that make their jobs a lot harder but I wonder if they know how much they are truly appreciated. I know anytime an Admin comes and boots a baddie I will(99% of the time) tell them thank you(/clap Admin).
So, with that being said I wanted to create a thread for anyone who would like to thank the Admin for all the hard work they do or if you have a specific time that an Admin came to your rescue and would like to share it with everyone please feel free to do it here. If you do post, please only refer to them as "Admin" and avoid using their names here as some may wish to remain anonymous.
I would just like to personally thank all of the admins myself.
I truly appreciate all the help you give.

To share a story: One night on iSk.... some person(name withheld) came into the room and immediately whispered some very nasty things to me:embarrassed:, then left. I was just going to blow it off as immaturity but then as I thought about it, I copied the remark to my clipboard and went and let an Admin know what had happened and that I had copied the offense to my clipboard if they needed it. Well, the Admin apparently followed the baddie and saw him/her doing it to others(children included) and emphatically booted them forever. The Admin came back to the room I was in and thanked me for the help. I was so happy that I could go to Admin and let them know about this and that action could be taken against that slimebucket. Hurrah!:biggrin:

Edit: I would like to add that I mainly started this thread because of the many people(whiners) coming in here and bad-mouthing the Admin and thought we needed a positive spin for them(Admin). I may not post in here that often but it doesnt mean that I dont read whats happening.

I don't know many admins... they're all pretty secretive, almost like a cult of some kind :twisted: But the ones i've met are pretty nice and always do what is best. Thank you admins!

I would like to add that there are many many players that I've encountered that will always thank an admin for helping. Even if an admin doesn't reply, they really feel appreciated :)

Although I love playing in n00b rooms, and enforcing all of the rules myself, as well as teaching people the ./me command, thank you too all admins.

Yes I would also want to sincerely thank all the admins who once helped me... And there was a server crash once, and the games could not restart and were stucked at round 10, I asked an admin to restart the game, and I kept pming him to come and restart the game umpteen times... So I dedicate this message to all admins, and thank them for their hard work.

well, i am an admin of another big board with about 50.000 members, and i tell you, its not allways easy, people assume that you are some kind of god, and they are not allways very nice, the worst are the people that seem to try as hard as possible to piss us off without breaking any rules.

but in a whole, this is just to say that we should respect the admins and all the work that they do :)

/me would like to thank:

1. The admin who appeared at my request yesterday and politely explained to some players that when you play a fair bit, you can guess the word fairly quickly - this does not mean you are cheating.

2. The admin who ALWAYS pops in when asked, only for me to find the person stops being naughty as soon as this admin appears........this happens so often, it's.....I'm sure the admin thinks I just want their company :P

There's one admin I've called in my rooms a few times (due to them just being on at the same time of day or rather.. night), and I'm always sure there are cheaters in the room before I call the actual admin in. I.e. I wait for clear 'evidence' and make sure it happens at least twice.

Then the admin comes in... and they're no longer cheating. Argh! Makes me feel a bit silly and I find myself apologising even though they were definitely cheating. Anyway, thanks to that admin for always coming when I tell them. I even told the admin that I'll no longer call them in when there is cheating going on 'cause it goes wrong so often! LOL.

I've been called to rooms many times where cheating is suspected. Often the cheats will stop if they know they are under suspicion and this can be frustrating for the good player who has called me but I really don't mind at all. It's very reassuring to know that there are players out there who want to put a stop to the cheating as much as we do :biggrin:

What's terribly frustrating is to answer a call from a player who suspects cheating and on arriving in the room they annouce "Here's the admin I've called!! Now you're going to get kicked!!" Talk about a neon warning sign to prevent them being caught ARGHHH lol

Perfectly good question. If you need admin, be a good player and warn those that violate the rules and etiquette of isketch. Read and know the rules first of course, admins take their work seriously and do not like people abusing others for no reason.

Don't worry about asking admin, (speaking for myself I am at the game to help), to look in on cheats. If the cheats stop cheating, at least part of the problem is taken care of. Prevention is the best medicine. Usually the cheats will get caught and justice is served at some point even if it doesn't happen in your room and at that moment. Publicly accusing the cheats can make it a bit more difficult to catch them so if you intend to ask for admin help, try to keep the public accusations out so the admin can witness and confirm actual cheating.

I would also like to say thanks to all admins on iSketch, Keep up the good work!

I also love their sense of humour! Someone got voted to be kicked out because they were too old to play (that person was joking), admin comes in and knows that person and says anyone aged 30+ shouldn't be playing iSketch (there were talking about being a phedophile LOL playing the game if your like 40 ahaha)... *laughs* that made my day.

The admins i know are friendly and responded to my question. I accidently voted someone because i didn't know about equations (because they have letters in them) :embarrassed: and i said sorry to admin and they were cool about it.
They do a good job and make the game better so thanks!!!!! :smile:

I know some! I won't tell! nope! I think I know the best and fun ones! They are truly gentle man/woman :P and they know what they're doing when it's necessary.They know how to communicate and understand the human psychology! and They know themselves no need names! Most, if not all the admins I've come across are quite witty characters and are great fun to be around :) Well, except the one who booted me out for 30 minutes for using letterspaces. I still don't know who did that, even to this day :razz: I blame the noobie dot I had at the time :fangs:

Actually I'd like to thank the good players - for putting up with some of the silly mistakes I make - yes I do make them.

Please remember all admin are - on any site, and especially iSketch are players/members who want the site to run smoothly so others get the same enjoyment they have had from the site.

Admin looove seeing new and not so new brilliant players really enjoying themselves in the way the game was designed to be played.

Sometimes it's nice to take a break from adminning and just watch the players draw - you guys are absolutely amazing even if you aren't artists you are pretty skilled.

So it's all about teamwork and always remember that good players are as essential to thist site as admin are. We are just different parts of the team with different functions.

So my thanks go to you guys.

I've done that in the past too...I think admins cop a lot of negative flak, and I always thought it nice to send in verbal bouquets about admins from time to time...I'm sure they don't get enough of them!

Also, I would like to thank the mods of this forum, as well as the forum admins. You guys deal with a lot of post's and complaints from newbies you have to watch and you keep the site so organized, i just want all of you to know how much us regular players/members love you guys. We are able to have so many great threads, and debates. We are such a tight group and we feel like a family because of you guys keeping everything as positive as possible.
