My kings and queens,
It seems I have been banished from the kingdom of Isketch. It appears that one of my drawings was found tasteless in the eyes of a just and righteous Administrator.
I beseech thee, oh Administrators, simply for a mote of forgiveness. Tilt thy gracious hand and restore unto me my drawing privileges. I am very fond of this game, I have played it for years. Also, I have many friends here who I care about and enjoy spending time with. Please unban me, I shall show more discretion with my art henceforth.

I've already submitted my petition the other night, and I've received no response and I still cannot sign on. A little compassion, please.

LOL, sorry!
Bans aren't usually handed out without reason though, and usually not from one drawing.
Good luck with your submission.

Thank you. Well, in this case, it was handed out based on a single drawing. I was in the middle of my draw when I was banned, without warning. Someone please help.

Since I am the admin in question (wOOt! I knew this would happen one day!), I can address the topic.
Like the previous players have indicated, you need to write feedback and wait for their reply. Like the FAQ page on iSketch says, bans are rarely overturned.
And I can say that although you may now be truly repentant... you were a very naughty froggy!

In this case, you can overturn it, since we are friends. We've played many games together, Sam. Nobody should be banned forever based off of a draw. I find that harsh and unfair, especially when you consider the fact that popular players get away with breaking this rule every single night. Forgive me if I'm not finding your words cute...but being banned forever from a game I love; and not being able to talk to my friends makes me very unhappy. Yes, I drew something risque. Please show some mercy. Thank you.

I would hate to think that this would happen
Not a personal statement Frog_Knight, as I don't know you, but it would not be appropriate for an admin to overturn a decision on the basis that they were friends.

On the basis that we are all friends. There has to be some grace, here. I would have appreciated some sort of warning. I think that generally, a time out would be appropriate for something like this. But banishing a person FOREVER based off of a single draw is a bit much. I know I'm not the only one who was treated in this fashion. I think its terrible that the community should lose a relationship with someone forever over something like this.

...players such as ............, and many others get away with breaking this rule every single night.
Hmmm I'm sorry if it seems like I'm picking on you here....but could you edit your post to delete the names of players - "naming and shaming" is against the rules of this forum. Thanks

Here is a stunning example:

NOTHING happened to the person who drew the above picture. Now, here is where the same user posted his porn in this very forum:

Pay special attention to the cute comments of some of the people who replied to his topic.
Apparently, the system is far from perfect.
My IP is 72.130.35.145 I know there are people with the power to undo this ban who read this forum. Please restore my drawing privileges. Thank you.
Can we please get one thing straight once and for all. There is and always has been only one person who can unban and that is Rob himself. No admins have the ability to unban under any circumstances. On the rare occasions (yes they are rare as we take great care) that we make a mistake with a ban we have to ask Rob to unban the player.
The lifting of a ban is rare and the only way to achieve it is by mailing feedback (info@isketch.net) . Not by posting on a player forum that's not linked to isketch in any official capacity.

Pay special attention? I don't see what the "cute comments" has to do with your ban. Remember, the forum and iSketch are not officially related. And that also goes for your last comment, too. No system is perfect, and there simply wasn't an admin in that room, which makes it different to your situation.
Good luck with the whole feedback thing..

Sorry Frog, seems to me that if you have played this game for years you wouldve shown more discretion when drawing whatever it was you were drawing at the time as im sure after playing this long you would KNOW the rules. I know I do not appreciate ANYONE drawing porn whether you are a newb or seasoned veteran. How many times have you done this before and how many other people have you offended with your actions that you may not know about because they chose not to say anything because you "are friends".
Perhaps you thought because you have "many friends" and have been here "many years" you could break the rules and it would be overlooked?
I have seen it before though... Happened to be in a room where there were a lot of veterans one night where NO ONE ELSE voted against someone's porn rendition of the word "head". I was in fact shocked that no one else voted and therefore left the room. I also felt that since others knew this person or were "friends" they didnt vote. Whats up with that?
I have to say that if I see ANYONE breaking the rules, I will exercise my right to vote against it.
/me cheers the admin for not taking sides and doing what is right

Now that many of you have cast your stones, I care to ask;
What about people? Don't they matter? By being banned, I will never be able to play with you guys ever again. I know I've spent many happy moments with several of you who have posted in this topic. Was one drawing really worth the price of never seeing me again, Sam?
I am not perfect, as some of you are. If I have to be perfect in order to be accepted by a few of you, I'm not sure if I want to know you.
However, there are people on the game who I do know, and miss.
If you consider me a friend, then please help me petition feedback to be unbanned, because I've tried that already and its not working. Also, this is the 'help forum, Rob must read this every once in a while.

Look. Drawing nasty pictures is obviously a widely accepted practice, especially among the 'popular' players. What's more, these popular players tend to be better artists, which makes the depiction all the more graphic.
My point with the link was...look! You have even have people posting porno pics on your forum. And then in the topic, there are forum moderators laughing about it. How can you justify banning a person for one draw when this kind of attitude prevails?
To have the power to ban someone for good and not be able to take it back is careless. I would like to talk to Rob about this.

Was your draw on topic like the "head" example?
Presumably you would have been blocked before though, no..?
I sort agree with you about bans though. I don't like the idea of permanently banning someone from iSketch. Of course, it's Robs site so he makes the rules. He could make drawing lemons a bannable offense if he were so inclined.
Also, the difference between a picture on the forum and a picture on iSketch is that here there are different rules, and people choose what to click on.

Hey there.
My drawing was a picture of a Frog in a Zorro costume with his 'sword' drawn. :D

Drawing nasty pictures is obviously a widely accepted practice, especially among the 'popular' players.
I do not accept that "practice" and if I saw "Rob" on playing and he broke the rules I would be the 1st to hit the little "yield" button at the top of the drawing screen.
You have even have people posting porno pics on your forum.
I would like to point out that that particular part of the forum you are speaking of has a special set of rules and a warning posted:
::This forum may contain offensive material::
I am not perfect, as some of you are. If I have to be perfect in order to be accepted by a few of you, I'm not sure if I want to know you..
Never did I think ANYONE had to be perfect to play by the rules.
Lord knows im not perfect but I can follow the rules.

Warning Rob wouldn't get a whistle (assuming he has the same magical powers the admins have), so I'm afraid you'd have to sit through his drawing.

Well! Then I guess he'd have to put up with my chastisement in the "chat" box! lol
Also, this is the 'help forum, Rob must read this every once in a while.
This is a player forum that's not linked to isketch in any official capacity like a great number of others. I'm not sure what makes you think "Rob must read this every once in a while" but I can tell you the only course of action for you is feedback. Nobody here can help you.

Frog_Knight, the only reason "popular players", whoever they are, seem to get away with breaking the rules is because they don't vote each other which would alert the admins. If an admin just happens to be in the room, then they will not get away with breaking the rules. Admins do not play favorites.
I would suggest any player, popular or not, make a user created room if you insist on drawings which are against the rules as you may end up in the same boat as our friend Frog_Knight here. Anyone taking over a public game room and playing by their own rules is at risk of eventually getting caught and the same consequence will happen no matter who they are.
