Hey,

I'm going to France on Saturday 1st Sept (leaving to Glasgow tomorrow evening though, because my plane's at 06:40. I get to spend the night on Prestwick Airport's 5* benches). I'll be back on 31st July 08.

It's a gap year sort of thing from uni, and I'll be an English language teaching assistant at a French uni in Cergy (40 miles north west of Paris).

This'll be my first time in France, so I'm really excited but quite nervous as well. Thankfully, I know a couple of people in Paris, so that calms my jitters a bit, but still, 10 months in a country I've never been to! Mad! Hope I like it! :razz:

Anyway, don't know if I'll have access to the internet as often in France, or if I'll be iSketching as much (I'll miss it :sad:), so just wanted to say au revoir, thanks for the good times, have fun iSketching, Arcading, foruming (and whatever else you do), and I'll see you all in about a year! :razz:

Aww, stormy. It's sad seeing you go for a year, but I'm very, very happy for you. This is a great opportunity and I hope you gain plenty of experience out there! :)

You know? I have met people from all over the world online, all over Asia, Europe, Aus, America, South America, everywhere - but not a single French person! The closest I got was a French Canadian. Maybe there isn't internet in France! :eek: jk of course, but really it's pretty rare to meet them! Or maybe they have something better and they're not sharing.

Ooooh France. Sounds like it's going to be an exciting year for you! And as others have already said, you can now be our French rep for iSketch (Forum)! I would say something in french, but my french sucks. The only thing I know how to say is "je mapel ___." Heck, I don't even think that's how to spell that phrase =/.

OK, I've been surreptiously sketching the past few months, but now even that little pleasure has been thrown straight out the window. I just moved into my new room and guess what!? - I can't access isketch! ARGH! It says no games accessible... stoopid server. Why do they make us pay for the internet connection if we can't access anything we like! Damn it!

So now I won't get to see you guys in the evenings and weekends :sad: and sketch :cry: 7 months...

I even tried InkLink, but it didn't work :rolleyes:
