What do you think about blogs? Do you blog? Do you read them? Do you subscribe to one (or more)? Do you comment on random blogs you come across or those of people you know? What do you think the point of a blog is? Please discuss. Thank you :)

What do you think about blogs?

I think this is the first time i've thought about blogs. I don't really know much about them. Are they for people who think they have something interesting or worthwhile to say, but major publishers don't?

Do you blog?

Not really, but I've never had much interesting to say. :)

Do you read them?

Nope.

Do you subscribe to one (or more)?

You can subscribe to them? Thank god.. I'd hate to miss out on Raymond's latest entry about how his cat hilariously made a strange meow, or that fabulous incident last week when his auntie gave him a jumper.

Do you comment on random blogs you come across or those of people you know?

When I comment on people I know they think I'm rude... I think strangers might want to hurt me if I passed comment on them :D

What do you think the point of a blog is?

To tell people stuff.
Thinking about it, I do read blogs quite often - the type that are written to instruct or inform. Its a good way of making me look more intelligent than I am at work.. heh. Or to help towards a project or whatnot.

I don't think I'd want to read, however, a stranger's blog that tells me about little jimmy's first successful potty training session, or how someone sat in last night and had a rather jolly time playing Risk with the neighbour but one.

So actually, some blogs are very good - but I've never noted the author of any particularly special ones and revisited. I just google (or any generic search engine of your choice) for answers and pick the interesting ones. :)

Please discuss. Thank you :)

A pleasure.

If you have time to blog, good for you. I think it's better talking to someone to get your thoughts across rather then posting it on sites. I don't read them or do them.

The church of the flying spaghetti monster blog, also support the cause: http://www.venganza.org/
Exploit prevention labs, i like to keep current http://explabs.blogspot.com/
And though not technically a blog, it's still fun to read every day, the snopes feed. http://www.snopes.com/

Oh you can say I often drop in to look at blogs... Sometimes I post on them but not really often... It all depends on the topic =]

Please excuse my late reply and thanks for the replies and votes people :) If you have time to blog, good for you. I think it's better talking to someone to get your thoughts across rather then posting it on sites. I don't read them or do them.
I had a thought; what if you tell about 10 friends everything? At least blogging would be a better way to tell people a long story instead of repeating yourself a few times. I feel like a broken record sometimes even though I'm telling a new person each time.

...I was wondering where my brain cells were going.

Someone's selling them off @ $7.99 a cell!

Hmmm...
'In stock, except for
the following item(s): Brain Cell (Est. 1-3 Weeks)
Gonorrhea (Est. 1-3 Weeks)
Herpes (Est. 1-3 Weeks)'

I don't think they are ALL coming from the same supplier...

I used to blog, but I don't anymore. I don't really want a written record of my life...for anyone and everyone to read, anymore. If I have to write, I'd rather do it in a diary.
