Hey any computer saavy individuals here that can tell me if there is a way to get around a company firewall to play iSk? Funny enough they have all games and emails blocked but I can get to isketchforum and play the arcade games here with no problem(mustve missed this site, lol). It sure would be nice to play iSketch during my lunch time which is the only time I can get to the computer room that has internet access so I am doing it on my own time. Never hurts to ask, right?

Here's a similar thread (http://www.isketchforum.net/office-servers-ways-t1778.html?t=1778&).

It's generally either not possible or very difficult - not to mention you'd risk getting in trouble at work.

I have the same problem in my Uni libraries, the computers there let me play iSketch fine, but if I take my laptop in to use, I can't connect.

Blackreign and myself would like to welcome you to our sad little club. I think there's other ppl, but i can't remember their names.

There are ways as i managed to find out. One of them is suck up to the network manager, as i did, and ask him to allow you on. But that didn't work. I've read about other covert methods, but it's likely that the IT people scan for cheats on their servers and given the possibility that your company's intranet offers individual IPs for each computer in the system and every activity from any user on any computer is logged, it shouldn't be too hard to pin point you as the source of the mischief.

Did you sign an agreement for the usage of the computers at work? I'd read it carefully, because often playing things like isketch, even in your own time, can be a violation of the terms of use of the network.

So yeah, welcome to the ranks, good luck to you soldier.

:sad:Well I guess ill just have to live with it. After seeing you can get a connection to your home computer from work from the websites/software I looked at, I guess that also requires a specific open port to allow you to do that so if you dont know the System Administrator personally and they wont take bribes then your pretty much S.O.L.
