Connie talbot is literally gift from the heavens, the little angel will one day be a huge star.
Bless her little heart how many 6 year olds have her stature not many i can say.
I hope she wins, not beacause shes a cute little girl but beacause she can sing she has talent and this could set her life in the right direction forever.
How many kids these days get a decent break, so all please vote for connie:biggrin:

I didn't see much of this show, although from what i did see I agree with cherry and Tf that connie not only is a cute little girl but has a great talent,

however I'm glad she didn't win, simply because I personally feel at the tender age of 6, it's far to young to handle all the pressure that goes with being famous. (not saying this is the same reason, or would have happened to connie too) but look how it all ended for Lena zavaroni

I live near a stage school and I know some of the children , and a few have already been in tv shows, adverts etc. Not all of them live the life of young children, whilst they should be playing with friends they are at auditions or rehersing for shows etc, instead of being in a classroom, they have a private teacher teaching them back stage in a dressing room, (is this fair on any child ? are they being robbed of their childhood ?)

Connie has a great talent, her day will come, but hopefully not until she is alot older.

/me hikes up her kilt for Paul Potts.

I completely agree. Yes, it would have been great if she could have won & performed for the Queen, but with no strings attached. If it could have been a one time event. But I heard she's already been signed up to a record company already (not altogether surprising though really), which I feel will definitely spoil her childhood.

Let's hope so.

I'm actually worried for her voice. I know she looks and sounds really cute now, and she does, but I'm worried that she's going to be pushed too far too soon and it will give her voice permanent damage. I had the same concerns when they brought Charlotte Church out too soon *shudders* Vocal chords don't stop developing till late teenage years. I think they should be really careful. I hope they are for her sake, I think she could really grow into something.

Charlotte Church wrecked her voice with cigarettes etc and she never was amongst the best. She was beaten many times at Eisteddfods (twice by my god daughter) and only became famous through ringing up Richard & Judy. So much fame is about luck and not always talent.

As for Connie ..... well I'm also glad she didn't win as I don't think that much fame so young is good for any child.

Paul Potts went to the same school as my brother here in Bristol and apparently he was picked on because he smelt bad. I don't endorse this sort of behaviour and I'm glad he won.

awww perhaps that's why he said he suffers from a lack of confidence.

Lets hope that once he has sang infront of the Queen his confidence will have boosted.
