I have tried many proxies but when i try to join a room with my sister it says there are too many people from my connection. So when my friends are playing and she wants to play with us, she cant. Same goes for me. Any way to get around this:?:

In normal rooms it won't let two or more players use the same internet connection. The server will say:
You can't join "roomname" because there's already a user from your location in it.

You can only play iSketch using the same ip/internet connection in user created rooms. Just click the Create Room button and choose the parameters for that room.

I'm pretty sure that there's no way around this but if you wait for more replies, someone else may be able to help.

Alternatively just send an e-mail to feedback at info@isketch.net if you are still having problems.

If you're playing from the same location you won't be able to go in because the system is set up that way.

Now, are you playing from the same location?

There's a way around it... from what I've heard...

If you play in a user created room you can play from the same IP, so in that respect, yes, you can.

Have to say though... if you meant it another way I'd have to say that's a no... on iSketch or anywhere else  lmao

Uhm I meant another way.... outside of user-created rooms....

I don't think that it is possble for two or more players to play using the same IP in a normal room.

Only in a UC room... as far as I know that remains true.

But does it actually work? Have you tried it yourself spectre?

No... I can't try it by myself...
But I heard about it from a trustworthy player

I don't think that it is possble for two or more players to play using the same IP in a normal room.

It is possible to have two people who have the same IP in one room.

Having said that - it's not endorsed/encouraged by iSketch.

Zakizdaman, I think iSketch does not allow two people to play from the same location because if that were allowed, then that would also give a player a way to be on one computer, but create different usernames, bring up an iSk window for each name and clog rooms up and abuse the game. There are people who would do that.

So although you do seem to quite innocently want to play with your sister in a normal game room, it isn't possible because iSk doesn't allow this.

But as db said - you can easily create a room yourself and invite your sister and your friends to play in that room. User-created rooms have lots of advantages like being able to choose how long you want to give someone to draw, what word list you want to play, etc. as well as being able to play with family members. If you haven't already tried this, give it a shot, it's worth it.

Well said storm.
If this can happen, it's like giving players with the same IP an advantage as cheating can occur a lot more often. I'm not accusing you of cheating in any way, although cheating is a possibility with this "ability".

A User Created room is your best/only real choice.

Yep, I've managed to be in the same room on two different computers before, just to see if something worked. Was a fairly obscure method though.

There's another way I can think of that would be easier and would work, and there's probably even more ways you could do it.

A while back I used to be able to play with my sister in the same room. We have a total of 7 computers at my house, lol. But a few years ago that changed, probably to prevent cheating. We've made do with user created rooms. Though it is a little annoying, I can definitely see why the change was implemented.
