So I was having some fun drawing all night away with some awesome people on isketch, ya know having fun.

I know there's a rule saying you should stay to related topic and I totally get that.

What I also noticed is that if you write the word even though more is added you get points for it. Like if the word is "mow" you still get points for lawnmower.

I got "bulb" and noticed how everyone were always drawing a lightbulb. Pretty boring. So I decided to drew bulbasaur.

I got a warning from an admin to stay on topic.

Is it really not allowed to have some fun with the words?

Ouch!

No! You must not have fun! It is not allowed!

Why on earth did you ever think fun was tolerated on iSketch?!!

It's allowed to draw bulbasaur for bulb.

The admin who warned you must have not understood what you were doing and probably thought you were drawing something unrelated. But yeah, like Clau said, drawing Bulbasaur for bulb is coolio.

Nice, inventive thinking there, Ikiriz. It makes the game fun! Sadly, though, unless the admin recognises bulbasaur for what it is, they probably think it's unrelated, so I can probably understand the mistake. Sure do wish they would have entered the room and asked first though...makes for much better relations with us as players.

What you did there is commonly known on ISketch as a "Zebadger" (drawing a word within another word)
In easy rooms it certainly livens things up when a player draws for instance The Crow for "row" or Pink Panther for "ink" or "pan".
I personally love the reactions afterwards too, it's the best bit.
/flirt WTF?!!!!

Okay thank god XD

But the part about not understanding is not really true.. Because I was asked what I was doing and I said it was "It's Bulbasaur"... And other people guessed it so it couldn't have been that far off. Oh well, Sh*t happens. At least it's good to know it IS allowed :3 was about to get scared off from Isketch

Another question.. I really didn't have any complains about this but when I drew it I wondered if it were allowed..

I got the word "Twillight" and drew a sparkly vampire..

Is this allowed?

Ouch!

There are lots of posts on here about what is and what is not allowed. There is also the iSketch Rules too.

If I was in the Room when you drew the Bulbasaur, I might've said WTF? But then, I wouldn't know a Pokemon if it poked me in the eye!

By the same token I have never seen a Twilight film.

So you takes your chances eh?

Either it works, or it don't.

Well done for being inventive. But you can trip up.

It's the way it goes in the fun game of iSketch!

Certainly is, whether people guess it or not is another matter :P Personally, I'm not too concerned about points, i just like to draw. Sometimes for the word "Scar" I'll draw Scarface...sometimes it's guessed, sometimes it's not, but it's way more enjoyable for me to draw it that way so...*shrugs* :D
I think I'd enjoy watching your draws, I'll look out for you :)

I once got the word "twilight" to draw so I decided to draw two arms with the hands cupping a red apple (one of the book covers). Two people got it (they must have been fans xD), but the others said things like "how?" and "wtf?". In that case it would be on-topic.

Due to iSketch being a multi-lingual and a multi-cultural game, there are players and also admins from many different countries who might not have heard of these things. It is therefore likely that you encountered an admin from a non-English speaking country, which might be the reason for the "please stay on-topic" admin message.

It's nice to see a bit of creativity on iSketch. I think it would get a little boring if people drew the same old drawings all the time. Why not mix it up a bit?
