Hey guys, just had a quick question. Recently when I've tried to copy and paste links (pictures and stuff) or text, it won't let me paste into the text box on iSketch. :?: I've always been able to to do it, and I can still do it anywhere else on my computer...but when I hit control V it just types a V in. How can I fix that?

It should work by using control + v, but sometimes if the link is too long, it won't paste into there.

Check that you're only pasting the length of the link. Too much text won't get pasted. But careful, you wouldn't want to get caught spamming, so be careful what you paste.

If it is a link from google images or cached link, then it'll tend to be long text.

But if it it still long, then give the main link of the page and tell people where to click for the link you wanted to show.

Hmm..it isn't that the link is too long, I can't even paste "the", haha. It's like it isn't recognizing that I am hitting control...it just types "V" or "C". Yes, I'm pressing both at the same time, lol. It's not spam, it's usually a picture of a dog or something for a friend :).

It's not going to kill me to be able to do it, just kind of a pain to have to type out links.

Umm, this may seem like a stupid suggestion, but before you hit paste, make sure the cursor line thing is blinking, then hit paste. Sometimes for me it isn't enough to click the text bar, coz it doesn't click it properly, if you know what I mean.

Try pasting on word document to see if it's just restricted to websites

I have had problems pasting on IE so maybe you should try FireFox instead?

Okay, I will try FireFox.

Here is a screenshot..I copied the isketch link, www.isketch.net/isketch.shtml.. and it pasted fine into the google box. I tried to paste it in the text box, and it just puts a v there, like it dosen't recognize that I'm pushing control.

No luck in FireFox either! Hm, strange. I'm not computer-illiterate either, usually pretty good at this stuff, but this one has me stumped.

May be stupid advice, but when the bar doesn't accept my text sometimes, I press tab then the "up" arrow next to the space bar.

have you tried right-clicking and selecting paste from that?

Right clicking in isketch gives options for shockwave, not text. (on PC at least)
