Grrrr.... I was forced to listen to The Chris Moyles Show almost every day I went to college for two years on the 1 hour coach journey. One TV summarised my opinion almost perfectly when they said "the last thing I want to hear when I wake up is a fat, obnoxious, pub-bore".

Okay, calling him fat is twisting the knife a bit, especially for a radio DJ but the rest hits the nail on the head. Any bits of his show that are funny are usually scripted by Comedy Dave or spoken by Dominic.

Moyles's 'humour' consists entirely insulting members of the public, insulting artists which write music for genres he is unable to appreciate or mocking members of his own team.
Incidentally, the people that are unfortunate to work with him are the glue holding the show together. Without them the show would be 3½ hours of Moyles talking about himself, spewing tales of how he met celebrity X, how he thinks he has a chance with attractive female celebrity Y or just generally inflating his ego.

Although that pretty much how the show is as it stands. Don't be surprised if you turn the radio on during Chris Moyles's and don't hear a song played for 40 minutes. Then don't be surprised when a song is played and it turns out to be some s♥♥t comedy song that Chris Moyles has written and wants everyone to buy off iTunes cos 'lololol that'd be so funny and isn't it great how much influence I have'. When there are hundreds of deserving recording artists out there that would kill for that kind of promotion it makes me rage.

Moyles also spends an inordinate amount of time talking about people that the public don't know or television that half his listeners probably don't watch.

Argh, the worst thing that makes me rage about him is the things he does in name of charity. For instance I recall one occassion where he some how loosely connect celebrities saying 'I slept with Chris Moyles last night' with some sort of donation scheme. Raaaaageeeeeeeeee

/me bashes his head against his keyboard nbb,n nbkbn mhl vk,lm, hjjkil lmgmn

His points are often so rediculously stupid or invalid that his more-intelligent co-hosts call him out on them to which he normally responds by repeating himself in a louder voice making some unrelated insult.

RAWR I hate him so much :@

Lol, you really can't stand him. I agree with all the things you said, whenever I've heard his show he does diss his team no matter how nice they are, he does flirt like hell with every female celeb and he does whinge a lot. His songs though... well, I ent a music fan - any genre (music makes me angry lol - don't gun me down, it's like a reflex reaction :p) but it does make me feel better knowing that when I go out shopping and hear (not here, Peter :p) Britney's womaniser, I just hear Lorry Driver instead and I prolly know more words to spoof songs than I do normal ones!

I think the way Chris bangs on about his weight is just him being insecure because so many people say how much of a big bloke he is so he deals with it by taking the mick too. Bleh, we see that with most obese people, particulary comedians, Jo Brand and can't remember who else, note how people like her get called "the funniest"

Chris I think is prolly just a chillaxing DJ/presenter. I know before my exam I needed to chillax, switched on LBC and it was a serious debate, flicked through other stations and Chris Moyles' and gang's banter helped me unwind. Funnily enough my friend said the same thing the following day! He also makes a good alarm clock, in your case it might work cos you'd be wide awake after trying to shut the radio up :p

Aled's lovely - then again I just love Welsh people

Edit: Last I heard he's trying to lose weight so he can climb Kilamanjaro (??) with Gary Barlow, Cheryl Cole, Alesha Dixon and a few other celebs for Comic relief. Apparently he gave up beer.

Ha why stop there, I think his whole attitude/approach to everything is probably caused by some massive insecurities of his weight as a child. Not that there's anything wrong with laughing at yourself (Malcolm X would argue otherwise) but it's because does it soooooooooo often it's not even funny. It's like he did it once and people laughed and he somehow hasn't grasped that jokes grow old and die very quickly. Every day it's like "...unless your fat like me! hurrrrrrrr I called myself fat and I'm fat myself hurrr how original and bold I'm not ashamed of the way I am and it's funny hurrrrrrrrrrrrr"

For my next thread I make everyone hate Top Gear in a paragraph.

Yeah Aled is cool, Moyles doesn't respect him as the producer though (changes the playlist, makes gay jokes, etc).

Lol @ Chris climbing Kilimanjaro. Can you imagine what would happen if they got stranded without contact? When it comes to cannibalism time Chris Moyles is gonna come out on top because you know he's gonna talk them to death and eat them.

Lolol, I doubt that. I love Top Gear. xDD (lol bearing in mind I love richard and james more than jeremy. (Is that right on names? I'm having problems remembering stuff atm))

Chris is okay. :) I think it's fun to listen to the show, I don't mind it really, and it's interesting to listen to.. although he only takes up a small section of my radio listening ness... But yeah. xD Eh. Lol. I think it's more like. I do enjoy the background people more than chris, but he kinda adds to it... Although I haven't listened to it enough to appreciate his irritatingness I suppose... Eh. If you don't like it, but you're forced to listen to it then yeah I suppose you wouldn't like it.. but if you're listening out of choice... Some people must like it otherwise we wouldn't have the craze for it as there is... or maybe everyone listens out of sympathy? :P

Iono...

Ha, you actually banged your head on your keyboard. :P It makes me laugh to imagine you doing that. :P

I also dislike him greatly. The only radio I listen to live is Adam and Joe on 6music - they are brilliant. I've been with them ever since I watched their shows when it was past by bedtime all those years ago. :P

Haha, you're so bad. I wonder what he'd look like skinny.

On the topic of top gear, as much as I love it, I think Jeremy is starting to annoy me now. There's just something about him and his jokes, the way he speaks it's like he's compensating for something :/

Sorsie: Agreed, I'm even beginning to find James May/Mae more entertaining! I think I saw Jeremy on..... Have I got news for you a while back, he kinda killed it. Meanwhile, ... that little word is starting to bug me and he did it on HIGNFY. And he keeps dissing Ken Livingstone. Boris lover. What a jerk.

Steeeeven!

Anyway I don't really like Chris Moyles or his show either, he talks far too much and I just don't think he's very funny and to me all his 'jokes' fall flat. It is also quitee bad how on his show they don't actually play music :I

And on Top Gear, well it's a show that I should not really likeee because I disagree with alot of Jeremy Clarksons' view on random stuff but he is very charasmatic and he does make the show entertaining even if it is at times hammy and over the top...

Bring back Song Wars!

/me sings 'my name's Mike, I'm a big fish-horse...'

Anyhoo... on the subject of Chris Moyles, I used to listen to Radio 1 in the afternoons and found his show pretty entertaining. Since moving to breakfast, he's definitely got less and less airtime in the car. Now I listen to Adam and Joe's Song Wars off itunes :D

Just coming!

Song wars will be back soon, do not fear! It is less than two weeks now. :P

Chris Moyles just never seemed to suit the morning. And still doesn't. I know what he does suit though; straitjackets and deep water.

I kind of...like...Chris Moyles....ahem.

Anyway, as for Top Gear....i love it too. But at the same i cannot stand Jeremy Clarkson because he seems to think he owns the show.

Can i start a thread for "we hate Louis Walsh"?

lmao...!! You forgot the obligatory anchor tied to his feet

I am not saying that I don't like Chris Moyles - I don't know him that well () but if I ever had the pleasure of getting to know him in real life.. well... I doubt I would like him at all  Confused? Good - because I am certainly confused as to why the BBC waste our money on him. I don't find him funny at all. I personally listen to Radio 2 (all day as background music with the exception of evenings after 7pm - I am not that big on folk stuff ).

I kind of...like...Chris Moyles....ahem.

I refuse to believe that Tigeress - I thought you had taste

I love Top Gear! I also like Jeremey Clarkson! He is blunt (and at times downright rude which may land him in trouble - especially in light of the RossBrandgate fiasco) - but I don't think this is a bad thing.

Can i start a thread for "we hate Louis Walsh"?

You can try.. but I might close it

Lololol. Can someone not start a, I hate... thread for all these kinds of debates? :P I've been thinking of how it could be worded etc, but like.. have no idea where it would go, and how to start? :P lolol Because a single thread for each thing people hate would take up lots and lots and lots of space. ;) xDDD lolol

P.s. He's not that bad really... :P
