I'm trying to connect to iSketch from my Vista laptop, through the university internet connection, but I keep getting 'Connection problems. Please check your network settings or try again later'.
I've tried all of the following with no success:
1) Uninstalling SW and reinstalling SW11 Full
2) Unstalling SW and reinstalling SW11 Slim
3 and 4) Both the above each through Firefox and IE
5, 6, 7 and 8) Disconnecting my firewall for each combination of the above (SW11 Full with IE; SW11 with Firefox; SW Slim with IE; SW11 Slim with Firefox)
9) Typing www.isketch.net/isketch.shtml instead of clicking Play from www.isketch.net (in both IE and Firefox)
10) I have 'tried again later'
I know my university connection doesn't ban iSketch because I've played it on a university computer.
Is there anything I haven't tried that might be worth a go?
Thought I'd post here before I write to feedback.
Thanks.

Have you tried to connect to any other public server-type website (like iScribble or those interactive Facebook games)? I can't get to those either because uni doesn't let it through, but if you can then you can definitely eliminate that scenario.

Even though my uni hasn't blocked isk, I can't access it if I'm just using the normal wireless connection for non-Uni laptops.
Although your normal uni computers can use iSketch, the connection they allow for laptops probably has more strict security features. If Aberdeen didn't have a silly VPN system, you could probably get on that way.
Does your uni let you register your laptop with them?

The only game I have on Facebook is Free Rice - I just tried it and it works. Grafitti also works on Facebook if that means anything...
Aside: I used to have Word Challenge too, but now that's disappeared! o.O I liked that game!

Lol.
Maybe I can try the other VPN when I'm at uni ;) Ahh, so convoluted... I can give that a go though?

No, there isn't anything like 'registering laptops'. I connect to the wireless through a proxy that needs my username and password (pretty standard I guess), and that's it.

Yeah I think that should work.
Why not just use a normal uni computer though?
