Competition Layout

Round 1: Find the Hearts (24 Points)
Round 2: Find the Message (76 Points)
In this part of the competition, teams must find the other team's coloured hearts, and then find the message from the threads of their locations.

Round 2: Find the Message

The Boys Team should find the 8 red, 8 pink and 8 yellow hearts making a total of 24 hearts to find altogether.

The Girls Team should find the 8 green, 8 blue and 8 purple hearts making a total of 24 hearts to find altogether.

Okay, Just Kidding, Stuff I didnt Realize:
The Boys Team should also find the remaining 4 green, 4 blue and 4 purple hearts.

The Girls Team should also find the remaining 4 red, 4 pink and 4 yellow hearts.


Once you have located a heart, make a note of the post number in which you found it. You do not need to link the post, just the post number will suffice.

Random Note: Hearts Found in this Post, On my Profile (Jen's) in our Sigs (both of ours) or in my profile pic (Jen's) do NOT count towards this competition...those are just there for show :D and plus i like my hearts (Jen)

Once your team has located all 48 hearts, note down the first alpha character of the thread in which you found each heart.
From these 48 letters, you now need to solve the anagram to find the Valentine message.
The anagram layout is as follows: (where slashes separate words)

Two letters have been given for you.

Scoring

Each team will score 1 point per correct post number. (Max Score = 36)
Each team will score 4 point per correct word in the message, and 4 bonus points if the whole message is found. (Max Score = 52)
Therefore the maximum score for Round 2 is 88.

Submitting

All post numbers should be clearly displayed when submitting.
All answers should be submitted by the Team Captains by Saturday 7th February at 12pm at the Team Captain's time. Times and Dates are Subject to Change (Due to our miscalculations as to how long the first round would take)
The Boys Team should submit their answers to db1986.
The Girls Team should submit their answers to jenni939706.
(As You All Should Know, Threads Will Be Made in the Correct Groups for Submissions, and This Time, ONLY the Team Captain Is to Post There Please (Otherwise the answers get jumbled up in Random Comments)

ok. from the first round, each team should have 12 hearts ....
Girls - 4 pink, 4 red, and 4 yellow
Boys - 4 blue, 4 green, and 4 purple

Now, In the second round, u have to add to that collection:

Girls, You find:
12 more hearts (4 red, 4 pink, 4 yellow)
AND 24 others (8 blue, 8 green, 8 purple)

Boys, You find:
12 more hearts (4 blue, 4 green, 4 purple)
AND 24 others (8 red, 8 pink, 8 yellow)

In the end, Boys will have found 48 Hearts and Girls will have found 48 hearts

and am not evil :(

In total there are 48 hearts spread over rounds 1 and 2.
In round 1, each team could find a maximum of 12 hearts, 4 of each of their designated colours.
In round 2, you must find the remaining 4 hearts of each of your team's colours, as well as all 8 of the opposing team's hearts.

Basically, at the end of round 2, each team should find 8 red hearts, 8 pink hearts, 8 yellow hearts, 8 green hearts, 8 blue hearts and 8 purple hearts, making a total of 48.

i'm listening to the trainers on the biggest loser yelling at the contestants. this is killing me, but just keep thinking of the poor people trying to lose weight...MOTIVATION! COME ON!!
actually the only difference is they are losing weight by exercising whereas i'm probably gaining weight by sitting in front of the computer...slowly losing my sanity...and my eyesight.... >.<

Aww sorry guys. I un-joined the Girls Team - if the following round(s) involve single-player stuff, can I join in with that? I don't feel right taking team points for not doing anything about the hearts, but might still want to do the rest of it, just for the fun.

BTW I like the way these comps are so forum-related, making people go all over the forum - I bet some people have discovered sections/threads they never knew existed.......:smile:

Yes, every first letter of the thread where you found the post is required for the sentence. And yes, that is a comma after the 7th word.

I've been searching for hours and it keeps changing. Did you change the colour of some of them? Do I have to go back and find which ones changed colours now?

Some of them have changed colour but it doesn't matter - all you need is a list of posts where there are hearts.

Why is the max 36 if there are 48 hearts to find?

To be honest it doesn't really matter which colours we posted, as long as there were 8 of each colour, that's all that matters :)
