It's a family living room at Christmas. On the wall is a photo of a son, who is a drummer in his band, The Partridges (picture on drum). Among the Christmas cards is one featuring a piper at the festival of French hens, and also one featuring Auntie Doreen's favourite of the On the Twelve Days line, a lord-a-leaping. The maid, who is a lady wearing a gold ring, has just set up the fire. She's about to clear away a jigsaw of a swan. Also note the wallpaper, featuring different types of birds: geese, calling birds and turtle doves.

Here is a scene full of the objects from the 12 Days of Christmas, exactly how the song goes. The people gathering behind the partridge in the pear tree include the 12 drummers drumming, 11 pipers piping, 10 lords-a-leaping, 9 ladies dancing and the 2 turtle doves flying above the tree. In line with the tree, which has 5 gold rings, are the 8 maids-a-milking with their buckets in their hands. The 7 swans are swimming in the lake, watched by the 6 geese-a-laying. http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo177/db1986/LordBelvederesChristmasWish.gif

Outside, the french hen and the partridge are next to the pond that the swan and the goose are in, and the calling bird and turtle dove are in the tree branch above. The drummer and the piper begin to play, enticing Cupid to shoot an arrow through Gwendoline's heart so she accepts Lord Belvedere's proposal.
Entry 12 - Lord and Lady's Christmas Party
http://i373.photobucket.com/albums/oo177/db1986/LordandLadysChristmasParty.jpg
One of the best things about Christmas is all the parties you get invited to. A bagpiper piping Π's and a drummer with a good beat and you're set. A nice young dashing lord asks a beautiful lady wearing a Bjork-style swan dress (don't worry, no need to call PETA, it's all fake) to dance. A milkmaid stands at the ready with fresh milk to serve to guests; the hen flown in straight from France lays fresh eggs for pancakes and other savoury goodies; and the goose is nicely roasted and ready to be eaten. The fire glows brightly in the fireplace which is behind the rug of golden rings, and the partridge hiding in the tree takes advantage of this warmth, as does the calling bird who is manning (or birding?) the telephone. A flock of turtledoves spin around the Christmas tree finishing off the whole lovely, festive atmosphere.

No offense taken at all.
Actually, in both the Treasure Hunt, and this one, everyone has incorporated all 12 words. It seems that it is actually too easy
I like all the pics too - I especially like the 6 birds pulling the sleigh - fantastic idea that one!

The poll is up. Apologies for the delay.
More apologies that I didn't get my entry in on time. :(
Some proper good entries here... Nice stuff! :D I reckon a custom rank should probably be awarded to the overall winner of this competition, yes?
