True to my word (http://www.isketchforum.net/showpost.php?p=159019&postcount=2) I will be be deleting all social groups that don't meet three points of the following criteria:

are serious
have a sustainable subject (one that will keep the group active with new topics and image)
wouldn't be more suitable as a thread
would create enough interest in a real life scenario for people to meet and discuss something that the topic of the group encompasses, e.g. 'Book lovers' parallels with real-life 'book clubs'.
are intended as a roster for other clubs/websites

If your group doesn't meet 3 of the above critera you may appeal against its deletion in this thread  (should be entertaining, lol). Please state your group name and give it's description in your appeal.

I'll delete the groups when they start cluttering up the social groups area to the point of hindering the 'real' groups.

/me measures our group (http://www.isketchforum.net/group.php?groupid=5)against the criteria
1. CHECK - Excel is a very serious business.
2. CHECK - :geek: <3
3. ......erm....
4. CHECK - "Excel meets" .....hmmmm :geek:

I think THE REACHERS GROUP SHOULD STAY.. Ahahahahaa... that was a quick slam down.. :P uhh..

Right, well I think it's a very serious matter and we can discuss the problems and solutions around being short... and I think that if people would join it, then we can make sure that us reachers can feel united. I think it's more like a home for the safety against heightism... :P Well not heightism in general, just short ism.. we could even start petitions and rallys against this.. (This would involve real life meets ;)) I'm sure they have short clubs in real life... I'm apart of 3? :D Well I'm in a club already for being short.. :P Gosh.. WE ONLY MADE THEM YESTERDAY.. :P heheheheheh...

Is this not enough? It's a very serious issue like I said.. (So that's one point), I'm sure we can keep it updated with new topics... lots of issues arrise from being short.. new problems that have been discovered and new heightist ways... I can't see where I'd be allowed to put it as a thread... :P Unless I made a thread... Ahh i see I could, but what if it turns out to be huge, I'd prefer to have it archived.. different issues in height and stuff.. yes... And like I said before, we can make rallys to oppose the tallies out there ;)

So yes. That's my appeal :)

Also keep the geek/excel group. :) Lots of people like it.. :)

They are. I'm glad someone sees this in the same way I do. Sometimes people just need to be reminded of the seriousness of the issues out there...

Oohh I know how.. oh yeah peter babes ;) you know you don't want to delete them..

I <3 Excel - coz it's awesome
(coz simple is smart, peter, right? ;))

1) seriousness: it's serious! excel is a major programme and is veryyy useful... it's a shame most people don't realize how useful it can beeee (which leads to my next point)

2) sustainable topic: not just one! but many! we could teach others different things about excelll being the geeks we are - like, I have no idea how to work macros or vlookups (okay, yes I admit it, I don't know!) or whatever but there are people in our group who know how to use them and I could leaarn :geek: I haven't asked yet, but I would!

3) thread vs group... groups are nicerrr... like family... a family of geeks <3 (plus a serious reason is that if we talk about diff things in excel like macros or lookups or cell functions it would be so much more cleaner to have a new discussion title for each within the group; yes I'm obsessed with organization)

4) I'm sure there are geek clubs and excel clubs out there...

5) roster for other clubs/websites... excel is a one-man show lol XD
