Hi there,

I've been playing on isketch for years now, on and off and the other night i was really disappointed with some admin behaviour.

I was using capslock when typing my answers and chatting. I've done this for years and no one has complained. Last night people started complaining about it and immedtiately admin [name removed] entered the room, muted me and left imediately. Shouldn't it be the admin responsibility to at least inform a person of what they are doing before muting them and therefore ruining the game for them?

Anyway, I was eventually unmuted. Then these other 2 people, obviously [name removed] friends started spamming the room up with their slaps and what not. Apparently there is nothing wrong with spamming?

I would like to get unbanned and for [name removed] to have some sort of punishment for being too trigger happy and favouring certain players over others.

LOL, since when is that normal behaviour? caps are considered as YELLING and SCREAMING on the internets and I don't think you get more points with typing caps. If you have played iSketch for years , surely you should know this isn't acceptable.
You might want to revisit: http://www.isketch.net/instructions/type.shtml
For your other complaints please email Feedback ( info@isketch.net)
See you online!

Yes well I know now don't I. It would have been nice if this admin had warned me instead of just muting me.

Considering the fact I have seen Admins ban people for less, I would consider myself lucky if I got away with just a mute for all that.

Just an fyi,
for the majority of my friends in mexico it is normal to use all caps in their online conversations. Everytime they write me an email its in all caps and their facebook messages on mine and their pages are always in all caps. So the 'its considered yelling and screaming' thing is not universal.

I am aware that some countries 'yell' more or are more used to 'yelling' on the internet. Doesn't mean it's standard procedure at iSketch though.
Besides the link to our own isketch instructions there is always http://www.kassj.com/netiquette/netiquette.html

They are not doing it to 'yell'. In fact the majority of them are very much unaware that writing in all caps means yelling to you. For them it is a way that they can write without having to put in accent marks, as it is commonly accepted in Mexico that if you write the word in capital letters you do not need accent marks whereas had you written it in lowercase you would need to put in all of the individual accent marks.

As for it having no place in iSketch, especially in English, I agree.

Can I also get unbanned please. It would be nice if when you got banned it said how long you have been banned for.

A ban is permanent. Perhaps you mean a block? They range from a few minutes to heaps. The moral of the story? Don't do things that will get you there :)

The moral? Don't be a rubbish admin and people will respect you at the end of the day.
