I was in a game this morning where a member was writing words. Nobody seemed to be able to vote to boot him out or to give him a warning, and I was also unable to as I am currently back to being a "NEWBIE".

How does one go about calling an admin in such a situation?

The only other way to call an admin into the room except for voting is to send them a private message by using the /msg [username] [your message] or /q [username] [your message] command. You'll need to know the names of the admin and they themselves might not be online. You can check if someone is online by using the /find username command :)

I always find it curious that this site does not allow any Admins to be mentioned.
If one is an Admin, surely you should stand up and be counted?

They've put themselves up for the job. With all the flak it involves. So why not?

I think there should be a list of all Admins, available in the Rules (but who reads them anyway?)

What a lot of new people don't realise is generally the admin on this forum are a different set of admin who belong to iSketch.net - so since this site is officially unafiliated with iSketch.net (it is a fan site) - it would be inappropriate to discuss admin by naming them as they don't always visit this site and it becomes a one sided story that may or may not have any basis and in many cases the isketch admin becomes unfairly maligned.

That is why players are always referred to iSketch feedback as that is the legitimate channel for complaints. (info@isketch.net)

A fan site in my mind is somewhere for fans of the game to come and discuss features, put in suggestions and associate with other players.

Perhaps this has made it clearer for you.

This is why voting is the best way to contact the admins. PMing also works but only as a second best.

I've found that some of the iSketch admins (that I know of anyway) don't mind their names being known as admin. The no-naming rule is only really there to protect the identities of those admins who do not wish to be known as admin.

Judging by some of the complaints posted on the forum, I would expect the admins earn themselves a few enemies based on some of the decisions they have to make. Of course they are not completely unreachable hence why we can PM them to talk to them :)

Yes, but. No, but. I still think that if one is an iSketch Admin they should be known. If they take on that responsibility they should be accountable. Whether they make enemies or not. Sometimes it's not possible to vote, like when you are a N00b (even though you might've played for many years). Anyway. Kudos to Clau who has made it known, who is the only iS Admin I am aware of, after the sad passing of Physician.
