My stance on 'same word, different spelling' is not negotiable. For example, shtick, schtik and shtik are all the same word - anyone who gave all three of them would get the point(s) for the highest scoring word only, and the others disallowed.

Saffron - what was the maximum score for 5b? I'm sure you typed it somewhere but I can't find it.

The most I could score was 58. So that was the 'minimum maximum score' if you know what I mean.

After seeing all the entries and taking out the words I disallowed etc, the maximum went up to 75.

Several people have got more than 58, but no-one got 75.

It's tight at the top of the English Dux Leaderboard, due to the strategic use of bonus points by some people. The winner is going to come down to the poem...

I have adjusted the scores of people who had both words by 1 further point. I must admit though, I'm a little worried about the Sci and Maths round. The questions are....hmmmm.....well, I'm obviously not the biggest sci/maths brain on here by far, so there's no way I could ask real, REAL Sci/Maths as I would have to google the answers, which would mean that anyone else could google the answers........so......the questions are sorta...different. lol.
Anyway, hopefully it'll be fun. ^^

I don't want to give you ideas, but if I were you I would have worked backwards... found something sciencey then thought about how I could create a question where it would be the answer :razz: (please don't change anything now though, xD)

Yes, the science round should be interesting. I have no idea what could be done for a "poll-style" question. I'm sure Saff has some good stuffs up her sleeve. :P
