Hello everyone! Sorry for the length of time it has taken me to post this. I’ve been really busy with never-ending schoolwork, work, and other annoying real-life things. ;)

So, I figured I’d start a completely new thread for the Double Trouble Dash 2 Tournament, seeing as though we have about a million posts on the other one. I hope that people are still interested!

I am borrowing most of Buffers ideas here (thanks Buffers =D ), as it was her tournament idea, but I may also be tweaking it slightly.

For those of you who did not read about it on the other thread, this tournament will be a team tournament. Anyone who wants to participate who did not tell me before, please PM me with:

1. You and your teammate's usernames
2. Your team name ( a three letter team please)
3. Your timezones
4. Your availabilities for the dates mentioned below (semi-specific times would be lovely :P)

Scoring:

Each player will play as an individual but their totaled scores will be that of their team. For instance:

Player 1: 76
Player 2: 105
Team HUH: 181

There will be elimination rounds and a final. The top 4 teams will participate in the final rounds.

Buffers proposed the following heats for the elimination rounds. Each will be played once and scores of each team will be totaled.

1. US/UK easy
2. TWBP US/UK
3. Double Trouble


The wordlists for the final rounds will probably be dependent on participants’ votes.

Dates for the tourney are as follows

Elimination rounds: Weekend of April 18-19th
Final rounds: Weekend of April 25-26th

I fall 5 teams show up for their heats, then yes!

There will be elimination rounds and a final. The top 5 teams will participate in the final rounds.
Does that mean that teams will progress based on the points they've earned rather than the position they come in the heat (so for example we could have all five teams from Heat 1 progressing through to the final)?

It's actually going to be the top 4 teams that make the final. Sorry, will have to fix that post. But I think the point system may depend on position in the heats rather than just points added up, since that seems more fair...then two teams from each heat could advance. But this of course depends upon how many teams show up...and if an equal number of teams participate in each heat.. will let you know.

Yes, they're faster than the actual games were.

Round 2 would have been about 25 minutes, and would need to be uploaded to youtube as 3 seperate videos. Round 3 was about 15 minutes and would need to be uploaded as 2 videos.

Also, I thought people would rather watch a quicker version but maybe not...

The videos I did for older tournaments were normal speed, but ones that Fender did were faster and I prefered them.

I took screenshots at the end of each game in both heats. As you can see, my computer has a problem with the ending celebration, especially during heat one, lol.

Um... I started doing videos for the final but restarted my computer and router after the first round to try and get rid of lag and forgot to let the video finish saving itself (I can rescue about half the video but it's not worth it xD). Then when I was doing the second one my laptop crashed so that never went anywhere. And round 3 I just didn't bother to start recording.
