Hi there.

I once had a tablet, in fact i still have it but the pen is broken so that i can only draw with really hard pressure. so i wanted to play some games drawing with my mouse. but it's all scrawly, not drawing clean lines.

i wonder if anyone got the same problem or know any advice.

using: windows vista, Firefox 5.0, newest Shockwave Version, newest flash player

attached a file to let you see what i mean. left is with the tablet and right is with the mouse...

I'm not entirely sure but that looks like the mouse you have isn't very sensitive, that being it doesnt detect the smaller movements most mice do. If you're using an optical mouse it could also be down to the surface on which you use the mouse too.

actually i got a gaming mouse. steelseries XAI laser mouse. so i don't really think it has something to do with that. doesn't solve the problem if i change the DPI or the rate...
any other guesses?

see if drawing slower is any better, if so, it could be your ISPīs fault.

To try get the pen to work with less pressure you could look for sensitivity settings in the options for it.

Also, for me changing "tip feel" to soft rather than firm makes the pen draw on iSketch with much less pressure.

Even if there is some hardware problem with the pen, changing those might overcome it slightly.

Sorry, I don't really have any advice on the mouse (but you could maybe see if there are new drivers for it), but does this only happen on iSketch, or would you have the same problem drawing on Paint or another program?

@2.0: moving the mouse slower makes no difference at all....
@NoHints: same issue on Paint when drawing with the mouse. didn't check that before, as i'm only drawing on isketch normally.

I checked the configuration of the mouse, and there was a tab called windows settings. in "pointer speed" the was "enhance pointer precision". making a tick there and because speed was much slower with that tick, augmenting the by 7 notches solved the problem.

thx everyone for helping.
happy sketching...
