There seems to be some strange virus or bug going around which sends an email from your friend's/contact's email address to random contacts on their list. I've had the email several times now and they all look the same but with a few different words.

The subject is something like "Fotos 10/07‏"

And the email will say something like "23:20:22 Essas ficou muito engraçadas as melhores da Festa !

Olha ae.

Fotos 20/06 : Imagens anexadas: <insert three image links here which I won't paste in case any one clicks them>"

(Having pasted that I'm hoping that chunk that looks like another language isn't something like a cuss at one's mother or anything else ) But yeah, don't open the email, if you do, don't click on any of it. Just hit delete. I'm not sure if its just a hotmail thing or if its the same with yahoo/google etc. I'm guessing this will be happening more now :/ The time in the email is exactly that matching when it was sent to you.

Edit: Just googled the bit in another language and it means "These are very funny. The best of the festival!
Look at them."

Which I guess kinda explains a lot. Its like those offline IMs I get from contacts with a link saying "Is that you? HAHAHA :D LOL So funny" so you click thinking there's pics of you somewhere and instead your computer just shacks up with a virus. Fun, fun. No clicky!

Happy emailing and IMing :)

Ha, I hate those instant offline messages as well. Thanks for the information. I don't really read my e-mail anyway; 101 in inbox, over 3000 in junk. One day I'll have to go through the junk folder; there's bound to be something important because I just get the feeling when I go to 'delete all' button then navigate away. Anyway, thanks.
