It's been a long time without Competitive football to follow (too damn long if you ask me  ), so it's good to see it back this weekend

Man City is gonna be a weird game to start off with, usually they'd be hard to play against but I've heard they got a few strikers missing for this. Think Benjani is missing, I know Vassell is (and thank god cause he would of scored against us!!!), their new signing Jo is out in Beijing for the Olympics, so not sure who they'll start with up front. I can see us winning this probably 2-0 with Carew and Ashley Young scoring.

From the other games, Arsenal should destroy West Brom, Liverpool to nick a 1-0 win over Sunderland, Everton/Blackburn and West Ham/Wigan to be draws, Fulham to beat Hull,Tottenham to beat Middlesbrough, Bolton to squeeze a 1-0 win over Stoke (Sorensen late blunder  ), Chelsea and Man Utd to win.

Phewwwwwww!!!

Lucky, lucky Liverpool!

Last season got off to an impressive start, this season, very slow and sluggish but Torres got us out of jail!

Sunderland pressed us particulary in first half and they have made some good signings and pushed us all the way.

Arsenal V WBA, slick but wasteful display by the Gooners, Emmanuel Ade(Akinbyi)bayor in particular.

Nice start by Villa today, managed to see the 2nd half online live, was a brilliant end to end game. Friedel pulled off one or two good saves, Ashley Young looked lively throughout, Barry played well (despite missing a good chance in the first half), and Agbonlahor took his goals well. Pleased for Agbonlahor cause he's been getting a bit of stick of a few Villa fans lately, that did a bit to shut them up

Watched the opening game yesterday, when Nasri scored I was expecting an on-slaught from Arsenal. Couldn't believe Adebayor (I typed Akinbiyi first....thanks Jas!) missed that 1-on-1 with Carson in the second half. Didn't see the Liverpool game, just caught the highlights this morning, good goal by Torres.

Adebayor had a glorious chance to score but failed to do so.
*me remembers Henry.

Watched the game again on a website, Villa were crap today, can't believe how bad we were considering how well we played last week against Man City. Fair play to Stoke, they were up for this more then us. First goal for them, I don't think it was a penalty, looked as though Rory Delap moved his leg towards Laursen, not the other way round, the other two were sloppy goals to concede. Barry didn't look interested, Agbonlahor done nothing, and Ashley Young's crosses from free kicks and corners were constantly going straight into the hands of Sorensen.

Roll on next week.....when we got Liverpool

I feel the same but unfortunately the content I want to put up will only be suitable for the 365 forum . . . (I really love Mancurians . . . )

On Blackburn V Arsenal, full marks to Eboue for his top notch olympic dive! I certainly hope he did hear the kind words I shouted at him at Anfield after he collapsed in an awful heap . . I'm such a loving and caring man =p
