How come the forum has been going down a lot lately? I've noticed that it has been going on for about a week.
Does it have something with the forum being upgraded recently??
Is there something the members can do?? Stop posting all the time?
Some of us would like to know what is going on. Thanks!

Too much bandwidth is being used than is being paid for. This is due to the increase in forum activity. The only way around it would be to pay more for a larger bandwidth allowance but I don't think that would happen unless people made donations.

Time for some sponsors heh
Go to the most popular online sites and ask if they'll be interested in a fixed trial period of sponsoring to see if it'll have benefits.
iSketch had Amazon sponsors a few months back but I have no idea why they disappeared, probably cos amazon didn't feel it generated much interest on the site.
But if you offer them a free trial period of sponsoring or a low rate to see whether or not it'll be worth pursuing for a fixed, long term period of sponsorship, then I'll feel that'll be the best way to approach it to help generate funds to keep up the maintenance of the site
Another idea will be for Peter or someone else to do some market research for seeing which online buying sites are most popular amongst the members of the forum, but whether it will generate enough response, I don't know
The increase in Yahoo crawlers frequency hasn't really helped. On more then one forum I've seen yahoo crawlers crawling in the HUNDREDS at times. Like there's a bug in them.

Lmfao Sarah. Sorry but that made me laugh. A forum is called a 'forum' for a reason......so people can post. Just because someone stops posting, it doesnt mean the forum server would automatically stop breaking down.
Its a server issue with the host site as the traffic has increased. All to do with bandwidth.
To help solve the problem of too much bandwidth being used up than is being paid for Suggestion For Forum Funding (http://www.isketchforum.net/suggestion-forum-funding-t2002.html?t=2002&highlight=paypa)
I've checked out the prices for running a forum like this and quite frankly it costs poop loads. I'm currently setting up a forum for uni and no way would I pay the amount it costs to run this place
That said, I wouldn't mind donating to this forum seeing as I do post here a lot it's only fair that I contribute to keep it running, imho.
Is there anyway to get rid of the Yahoo! creepy crawlies? Are they attracted here by searches? For example "problems with shockwave" so search results show links to the forum where people have spoken about shockwave. Or someone searching for "tricky riddles" gets linked to the game on this forum. Is that what the creepy crawlies are all about? O_o
The option of shutting down access for the yahoo spiders is being considered.
