Ohmygosh! You don't even have any music! That's amaaaaaaaayzing!

Wowwness. Middle bit is awesome. It looks like you've actually sped it up.
It's definitely you?! Not you miming to a recording?!
It's amazing!

Ooh you have an awesome accent. Yes. YOU have an accent. Not us. :P
Don't sound Canadian though!?!

/me gives Amazing Gracie a fumilumilunating round of applause

Ooh. Amazing Gracie should be your custom title if you get one. Bahaha. :P

gracie
09-04-2007, 07:47 PM
what do you mean, doesn't sound Canadian?! what does it sound like, then?

custom titles... i was thinking about it the other day. Nearly Banned, Forum Troll, Forum Spammer... ? xD

last time i checked, it was me. it was taken from a bad angle though. i stacked up like.. 20 binders since everyone was too busy to hold the camera. and for a song like that, you need to memorize it. o_o

jewels.. lol. um. i don't know. it'd take a while to learn the song, get the music, then record it and host it... it took forever to get the video to upload. xD

as for Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, though... i actually have this fun piece that Mozart wrote. variations of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. very simple and cute. it's called "Ah, Vous Dirai-je, Maman!" it means I'll Tell You Mama. i wonder how we got Twinkle Twinkle Little Star from that.

Ooh you have an awesome accent. Yes. YOU have an accent. Not us. :P Don't sound Canadian though!?!

She does too! That's a clear Canadian accent if ever I heard one. And it's so darn adorable!

And I'll say it again, gracie... you're very talented. I listened to it again, heh. I hope we get to see more stuff in the future :P

Where's the accent? I didn't hear one!

Great playing, gracie! You look like you really enjoy yourself when you are at the piano.

Everyone has to accent! Just because the people you live around all speak the same way, it doesn't mean they don't have an accent.

Gracie, that was awesome! And not a gross moment in sight, btw so don't be too hard on yourself!

/me goes off to practise 'Chopsticks' :P

2:10 - 2:35 = awesome

gracie + piano = enjoyable

loved the ending... "Yeeep! that was me!" it reminds of Walt Disney's "that's all, folks" when they finish a cartoon...but I digress.

lol, stormy! And hey, while this thread has been bumped up.. I was wondering, gracie.. wanna send us another piece? (I know I'd love it!)

/me starts poking gracie

ye gods. i was hoping this thread would be sent into oblivion. after i learned it properly, i'd always shudder to think of that disgusting video...

no piano lessons during the summer. no interesting songs, really... i suppose once i get Valse Oubliee learnt, i'll post it somewhere. probably back in here.

i have some lovely Christmas pieces... but those'll have to wait till Christmas. someone remind me before then, i'll forget.

MsNerdinator

Christmas? That's too far away! And stop calling your video "disgusting". Heaven knows what I'd do to you, lol.

I enjoyed it, we all did. And that's why I want some more! You're very talented, so nerrr :P

She does have an accent ! A "Canadian accent" (that is, an accent different to the English, welsh, scottish, Irish, American, german, etc accents).

/me jumps up and down.. We all have accents
Lol, I keep having this discussion with people.

Me: I love your accent
My American friend: I don't have an accent
Me: yes, you do. An American one
Friend: No, I don't.

Arrrgh... lol!!
I really need that chill pill.. lol

And I'm glad you agree, Deadpan
/me runs off..

/me slaps nerdy

there's no such thing as a 'canadian' accent. it's you brits that have weird accents.

/me gives an Oscar-winning laugh

urrghh. i was hoping that you guys would let this thread die again. i think i should just edit out the first post and remove the link. xD

anyways, if you guys really want me to record again... it might take a while. with summer school, i'm insanely busy. i had about four hours worth of homework the other day. i'll try to patch up some song and record it... i haven't played much of the piano since my exam's over.

gah. i still don't have my exam results. :(

/me slaps the 'slap'per..
You guys just all sound the "same" in terms of accents. Not like the UKers being split into regional accents. But it's still one "generalised Canadian accent". A country accent?.. This is all coming out wrong, lol... :(

(conclusion: we all have accents!)

On a serious note, I do find it quite funky that we all have disagreements about what we class as an accent, heh. No wonder my American and Canadian friends think I'm crazy..
And gracie, we'll wait as long as we need to :D

Of course we all have accents. There's no 'standard' which you can deviate from, so everybody speaks in their own way. Compared to another, they both have different accents.

I see I didn't comment on this when this was still new, but that was really nice Gracie. The one who wrote this has a good understanding of a 'romance' haha. I've been playing piano myself for a year and a bit. Nowhere near that good. I also have trouble memorising pieces, so good job on doing all that without sheet music.
