I get spam banned every single game for guessing too fast. :(.. They shouldn't spam ban you unless you're repeating a word a lot or just writing one letter. You have no idea how annoying it is T.T.. I know there isn't much that can be done and the simple solution is just to slow down. But I feel like venting my fury! I've lost like 5 games in the last 2 days due to this! Grrrr!

Secondly, you don't get muted for guessing too much so fast. It's because you're in the chat box talking a lot :smile: or Private messaging a lot.

You get muted to prevent further spamming.

No it's definitely in the guessing box. I'm not stupid :(.. It's definitely for guessing too fast.. It is a ban! It's a chat ban for 30 seconds!

I know you get banned in chat box more easily.. But try typing fast in the guessing box. You can get spam banned there too...

Heh it's okay. I just type as the ideas flood into my head. Playing Isketch so much turns you into a human thesaurus xD.. Slowing down kinda stops the flow of ideas T.T... My typing speed is 100+ WPM.. It's only on 3/4 letter words I get the spam ban.. Like if someone draws a cup I might say.. mug. tea. cup. But I get spam banned, so my guess doesn't count. And then everyone else guesses it. If I'm lucky i'll get a lonely 5 points. Or else it will have skipped that drawing by then..

Actually, you can get muted for guessing too fast in the Game Box - too quick makes it think you're spamming, when you may be typing in valid guesses extremely quickly. It's happened before.

Like AJ said, it's not a ban. It's called muting. There's a difference. One's a spam filter while you're still in the game, and the other kicks you out of iSketch.

Your only solution is to type slower, because the filter's there to prevent people from spamming and the game's not gonna know whether you're spamming or guessing - it's just going to go on speed. Take it as a compliment, and try to slow down :biggrin:

I do have an idea for you though, Nina: if you're really really fast, you can save yourself the risk of getting muted by typing your words in groups like: cupmugteacantin, then you hit enter.

Yep, and that's something that's happened to me plenty of times! Although, it's usually 'cause I don't press enter/return hard enough :rolleyes:

Quite a few players have complained about the spam filter in the game window but the other side of the coin is that a lot of spammers have been prevented from messing up the game box.

The usual advice is as Storm suggested to type several guesses per line before hitting enter.

Also, when I was drawing once, I noticed that someone had done a silly string of words and entered it before anyone else, but didn't get the 10 points.

Went something like this:

Player1: cupteamugcoffee
Player2: tea

Player2 got 10 points, Player1 got 9.

I assume that guesses with more letters can take longer to be registered as correct and so if 2 guesses like above are made close together, the second guesser can get more points.

The other down side is that you just look a bit daft when you guess 20 words in one go and none of them are right.
