Hey all! I've been working on this guide as to how one plays in the Tandem room.
Just thought some would be interested in checking it out and possibly giving feedback?
I'm still trying to find the right host, so the link is not permanent. Yahoo! had already shut down my first try... possibly because of a (what I thought was) humerous cartoon of two naked guys on a tandem bike... hehe. Without further a do, the link: http://colourmeblind.co.cc/tandem

Nice site you've set up there! Looks very, iSketchy....lol
But; is it really necessary to have a site to explain Tandem?
I mean, it's not that difficult to understand.....

Haha, prolly not! But, I got really bored a couple of days ago so I decided to make a site dedicated to Tandem.
You'd be surprised how many people don't get that the first artist draws the first word on the top half and the second artist draws the second word on the bottom half, and that you're allowed to communicate. :/

I used to play tandem a lot when I first started on iSketch. Back then, the first person drew the first word on the left half and the second word was drawn on the right half. Not sure when it started changing to horizontal halves, but it definitely has.
I used to get so annoyed when people would draw a line right down the middle of the screen, like guessers wouldn't understand that two words are drawn simultaneously.
Anyways, always neat to see a Tandem fan!
This guide to tandem (http://www.geocities.com/isketch_anna242/Tandem.html) was done some time ago and has proved very helpful to players:smile:

I love tandem, my draws are sometimes really pathetic, so haveing another drawer really helps lol.
I'm not a big fan of tandem.
I don't like to share.

So you would never ever give away your last rolo then.
Tightwad:eek:
I go into tandem feeling calm, and come out in a bad mood, mostly.
People who draw the wrong word.
People who have a really easy word which they finish in 2 seconds, and then come and 'help' me draw my, more complicated word - gah! It always ends up a mess when people do that.
Having a partner who writes the words, ending up in both of you getting skipped.
Watching friends take about a minute to actually start drawing the word after drawing a million 'hi!' 'hi!' '<3' 'LOL!' 'omg' etc etc - personal messages are one thing, but that gets really boring really fast for everyone else.
These are all reasons I avoid a room which otherwise is really very good fun. I do like playing with friends there, that can be hilarious.
Thanks for the rules! If only the people that need to read them would look at them :P

i like tandem esp when ur playing it with a room full of people u no. u can have a right laugh. its pretty easy to play tho so u shouldnt have any problems with it colourblind :)
Colourblind is the one who has written these rules, baby - I'd say he definately won't have any problems with it! Apart form the odd new player who hasn't read those rules.
I have just gone through them, colourblind, they seem pretty comprehensive.

I used to be addicted to Tandem for the first 2 months of joining iSketch. I played there almost every day that I made myself sick of the room, lol. Literally. I don't go back unless I'm dragged there, and even then I barely stay for a whole game. And that's a very rare occasion now, lol.
Those links and explanations look great!
I've always loved Tandem, and I still do. Nice guide, thanks for the effort!
Now, could you write one for Big Picture, Connections and Famous Faces please???
:D
