All of my my hubbie's family are arriving tonight. Tomorrow we will have a cook-out (aka barbecue) with everyone.. you know hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, baked beans, corn on the cob, etc.

I am also making my father-in-law's favorite dessert ever... peach cobbler!

Then, once it gets dark, we will drive over to the next bigger town and watch the big fireworks displays.

Then, we will try to put all the little ones into bed while listening to everyone setting off their own fireworks... very annoying... lol

As a side note: I am pretty impressed that a UK person can congratulate us Americans on our Independence.. it makes me proud :) (I had to put that in there... I teach American history and government) Try out the MSN citizenship quiz.. July 4th special. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19552808/

that's right. wish the AMERICANS a happy Fourth of July, completely ignore the Canadians and Canada Day. :P

we were in Washington DC when i was about 6 years old for the Fourth of July... i remember screaming at the top of my lungs repeatedly "GO CANADA!" these people around me were glaring.. i didn't understand why until later. xD
