Isketch is not letting me load. I click on the Play Now button, the press the space bar when the grey box appears, then click on the logon button - but after about 30 seconds I get the following message:
Connect problems. Check your network settings or please try again later.
I can access all my other Internet sites perfectly, and have no problems with my emails either - just this game.
I've been having this problem for over a week now - anyone got any suggestions?
Thanks

I think emailing isketch feedback is your best bet in solving this problem, they'll probably be able to tell you why you're getting that message. You can email them at: info@isketch.net (if you haven't done so already).
Or maybe one of our techie members on the forum will be able to help you out if they know the cause of it :)

I've had this problem and it turned out to be my server and there was nothig I could do about it. I couldn't get into isketch after 5pm and would be chucked off then too. It righted itself after a while but try it at different times of the day, just to see
Question Voyager, are you trying to connect from work/school? If so, it's definately the network settings, your server's firewalls won't allow you to connect. Welcome to our sad little club, a few of us can only play from home.

Actually I on holiday at my sister's in South Africa; but when I first arrived and was showing her the game it worked perfectly for about a week; then the problem appeared.
I will email isketch feedback and see if they can help.
Thanks to all of you who replied

Ah okay. Good luck with it, Voyager. Hopefully they'll be able to advise you accordingly.
Also, welcome to the forum :)
Come on, South Africa's outside and you want to play ISketch :D?

Hmm...I think I got a similar message when I was using IE...maybe not, but you could try using a different browser...(e.g. Mozilla/Firefox)

Funnily enough, it's happening to me toooooooooooooo. Maybe it's the Ironing Fairy telling me I should be ironing, and not attempting to play iSketch!

Glad to hear I'm not alone. Perhaps it's an iSketch issue.
Will post with whatever reply I get from them, in hopes of educating a further generation. :D
Config error, being fixed.
:-)
Try again shortly. By that I mean... SOME people are having trouble due to the vagaries of the internet, and it could be 24hours (less than) before you can get on again. If after 24hours you still have trouble, then Feedback is the way forward...

Also, if I get this message, I try and log in straight away and it logs me in so you could try again.

Same problem for me guys. I had it a few nights ago and it sorted itself out. It's funny. I know I didn't do anything that would make my pc block isketch. Works fine on my other computer and they both use same internet connection. Tried another browser but still no luck. Just emailed feedback and I am now waiting patiently. :) That's the best thing to do. They are always very helpful.

Hopefully, as JSAR's just said, it will be fixed shortly if that's the problem.
You're doing best by mailing feedback though

This is happening to me also today. Usually when the site goes down, it's taken care of fairly quickly if you hit feedback and let them know what's happening. Another, Isketch junkie,

OK I had my doubts but I took SamIam's advice and cleared out the cache. Well, that didn't work, so I tried rebooting and I'm in! Whew.

i had this problem. i think it's something to do with your avatar image. check that the site that hosts your avatar image is working by visiting the site, and then try iSketch again.
this worked for me
good luck

I tried this locally on my machine:
I flushed my local DNS cache. To do this:
Start, Run, Type CMD. Then type "ipconfig /flushdns"

Thank you itt3ch. I was just about to say that we should all join hands and pray, but clearing the DNS Resolver Cache seemed to have done the trick!

if everything else is working, then why does isketch suddenly go down?..it must be the programme itself...and if this is the case then no amount of tweaking is going to make any difference is it? it can't be the isp cos we are prob all on different ones...if it's down why can't we be told..when so many people post like this then it is obviously the programme,we haven't all got dns caches that need flushing...just tell us WHY it is down

Sometimes dumping your cache and restarting the computer does help you to get on, during a time where the server/programme goes all weird. Like the other day 300+ people were on iSketch. The majority of us couldn't get on. Some people did play around with their computers and use the advice in the thread, and they were able to log on. Others had to wait a bit longer because it simpy didn't work.
When iSketch is down it could be for a number of reasons. We don't know them, but that doesn't mean that we SHOULD be told the reasons for it, either. Most, if not all, sites and programmes go a bit weird every now and then. And we don't get informed about the reasons, so in this case, we shouldn't expect any different. The problem usually gets sorted pretty quickly, thanks to Rob. A little patience and we're back on air, :) Even the forum times out for about 5 minutes a few times per week, and people can't get on. That's life, but we don't have to tell people why. Just have to wait for things to get back to normal. :)

I am not blaming anyone...but I don't think it is correct to give people advice on tinkering with their computers when this is obviously an iSketch problem and not the fault of individual computers...if iSketch is experiencing problems, which it obviously is, then we should be told. Some people can get on and other cannot and there must be a reason for this. We have patience, we can wait ,as long as we are kept informed !

Isketch is up and running fine right now and, other than a couple of recent reboots for necessary work to be done, has been running with no problems for several weeks
If you have a problem connecting to the game at the moment that problem lies either with:
a) Your computer
b) Your ISP
c) Your being blocked or banned from the game
The original problem, causing the start of this thread, has been resolved for over 2 weeks.
It was evidently not a 'usual' type problem, hence the (correct at the time) instructions given out to try and attempt to fix it/wait for it to be resolved.
If you have currently done Browser Cache Clearing/Shockwave uninstall & Full version reinstall/Computer restart/Checked that any another multiplayer Shockwave game works/Sprinkled Ammonia on keyboard without success...
...then start chatting (with lots of detail) to Feedback.
