Isketch works fine as long as I am not the artist. When I am the artist I start drawing and I can see everyone guessing and it just Isketch will freeze. Well kind of, I can continue to draw all I want then I notice that no one is guessing and the timer has frozen. I try to just click skip or hint and it does nothing. All the buttons act as if they would work but clicking them does nothing. I had not used Isketch on this computer until now and I really don't know what's wrong with it. I use firefox as I did on my old computer. I have shockwave ect. No errors..nothing. Does anyone have a clue what is happening? Any help would be seriously appreciated.
I used to have that problem. Could be your browser. Download another browser (firefox, mozilla, IE, depending on what you have). Now what really did it for me is a 1gb RAM upgrade. Never had any issues again.
Also might be worth trying Tools > Internet Options and deleting your temporary internet files. I get hellah slowdown if my cache has mounted up.
And if you're running 512MB RAM, then 2.0 is right. You'll notice a huge difference in almost every application if you bosh in another chip.

Ooh. Sounds like a powerful piece of kit.
Wouldn't happen to be running Vista, would you?

No vista I use a custom xp pro. I don't think I really want to go vista either. No offence to everyone that likes it. I have the visual styles on this os though.
Well... I'm pretty much stumped. I know Vista, especially Vista 64, has had problems with Shockwave. I doubt its browser issues. Its not processing power or memory problems. Its not a heavy cache.
They're the usual problems I come across.
It seems to me that, and as much as I dislike having to cop out like this, it might have to be a feedback (info@isketch.net) job. They may well be able to point out what's going wrong.
Or try the solution that's got everyone raving about: turn off player icons in the settings area. Player icons are known browser crashers, maybe it's something related to that, don't know how though, but it might help.

Hellllooooooo! Have we forgotten the BM cure-all?
Immerse keyboard in a bucket containing a mild solution of cloudy ammonia.

Yeah i kinda forgot i dipped my ram cards in it before installing them. Come to think of it, that's probably what fixed it
Food for thought...
I have the same problem described above at work. Not at home though. When I happens, the drawing toolbar becomes ineffective. It usually happens once on my first of second draw, then I exit and come back, and then I can play for a while. At work I have a newer computer with fiber and a 1Gbps card. At home I have an older computer with a dial-up connection. At work I have Norton, at home Macafee. Browser choice doesn't see to matter. I use Netscape, Firefox and IE. I have no idea what the problem is, but I have just about quit trying to play from the office because that draw until you disappear problem is SOOO frustrating!

It is definitely a common problem - as I have it too. Writing to good old feedback and aprising them of the situation may help - as if a lot of players are experiencing the same problem, then perhaps it will nudge them into looking at getting the problem fixed (assuming that it is fixable).
Is everyone experiencing this problem using the same antivirus/firewall software?
Seemingly Tex's issue is with Norton. As its a work system, I would assume that there is little chance of being able to modify security settings.

I've a gig of RAM and a dual core and use McAfee, but mine seems to freeze only when I'm an artist (probably one in fifty sketches). I use Firefox btw.

Try pouring a cup of hot coffee into your keyboard. This apparently fixes issues with sugar that has been spilled in the keyboard and it may fix your problems with antivirus.
/me uses McAfee Security Centre and swaps between IE7 and Firexox on main computer running 1Gb of RAM and Windows XP Home. Laptop has 2Gb RAM - Windows Vista and IE7 - no problems with IE7 on that - only presents a small amount of lag between Tablet and computer but I have lost the original driver disk and am using the Vista one that works ok - except for dots and short strokes.
No problems on the computer that has Norton here either, so it's not that.
