help! my iSketch doesn't work properly for me
1. like in the hint bar, usually youu'll see ex: answer Treehouse so it should be like Tr_ _ _ _ _ _ _ but in my computer i'll see symbols on it instead like tR_ _ _ _ _ _ #!& and stuff (usally those square symbols)(i also see those square beside some usernames too)
2. the picture that people draw will look all weird like this:
normal---------------------------on my computer wtf!?
http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/8706/wtfyr1.png
i know it's my computer's problem because i've tried playing on my cousin's computer and it works perfectly well
3. this is the most ridicoulous part. MY ANSWERS DOESN"T WORK! so i type d the correct answer with correct spelling right, but it doesn't says that i'm right. i''m 100% sure i was right because i type dolphin in and when the round is finish, it says the correct answer is: dolphin
my guess is that i'm missing some plugins and i've tried reinstalling my adobe flash player etc. but still it does not work
Squares (http://www.isketchforum.net/problem-square-letters-t1907.html?t=1907&highlight=squares)
And now I have to add a bit more, for the post length :p
Squares! Time to check your language settings! Follow Jasr's advice (http://home.comcast.net/~sketchpage/help_squares.html).

What system are you on? Mac? windows? What are the characteristics of your computer? That might tickle some of our techies into an answer.
I'll just say, if it's not the encoding, it might be a compatibility issue. I have had some problems with safari (i'm on mac) trying to get into isketch. The "slim" installer of shockwave seemed to be the problem. I got the full version and problem solved.
Try the full version, download it here: http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/alternates/#sp

like i drew in my first post, the original picture should be a demon or something 0.o (im not sure what i drew) but on my computer, i see dashes (spaces between the lines) and line going like to the left. and notice what others say in the answer box then look at the picture again
other pictures i'll try to take:
- hint box
- i typed the correct answer but doesn't say that i'm right (this one will be hard since i can't even see what they're drawing)
EDIT: here, 2 pictures for the hint box problem. the answer is "intercom" as u can see in the second picture, but count the lines in the first picture. and the symbols!? at the end??? wtf

another edit: did i mention that both of my (not mine, family but w/e) computers has the same problems. ones a laptop and im currently using the "not-laptop" one. someone asked me what brand my computer is so the laptop is asus and the comp is hp
this should be the last edit for this thread:
http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/230/isktech5editzb7.png <-- this was taken b4 the other one and i was 100% sure i typre the answer but its says i only typed a few letters

what internet browser do you use? I can't use internet explorer because isketch doesn't work properly so maybe that's your problem. You could try another internet browser, I recommend Firefox or Opera, both of these are a lot better than internet explorer anyway.

Help! My identity and profile was stolen and someone else is using and abusing it. Shame on me that I didnt write their ip address down when I had the chance. This is how I know.... one night I attempted to log on iSk and it told me username already in use. Well I know our names arent registered so I figured someone else likes the name Atreyu. But my curiosity got the better of me and I went and did a search for the other Atreyu whom I found in a user created room. I went into this room and found the person, whos profile was a mirror image of mine and I pm'd them asking them why they had my name and profile. They said I was trippin and that it wasnt the same and we kind of got into it. Anyway she kept insisting that it wasnt the same and I got tired and just assumed that it was maybe a computer glitch on my end. Well tonight I get someone that ive never met before asking me how my surgery went. I said I dont know you nor have I had any surgery. They said thats strange your profile and IP address are the same. I said you must be mistaken. Then someone else somes in claiming to know me whom ive never seen before and starts telling me im a hacker. Now I feel like my community profile is going to suffer at the hands of someone posing as me. I run all the necessary virus and spyware programs and take extra steps to prevent intrusion into my computer. Is it possible someone has hacked me and is using my ip and identity on iSk(well, I know its possible to get hacked, but....) What else can I do?

Atreyu - I have copied a link to a thread about this - you may want to read through it, this kind of thing happens a lot.

It's not possible for them to have your IP as far as I know. Unless they are logging on from your computer or another on your network....however it doesn't take much to copy a profile.
The short answer is, unfortunately, there is not much you can do to prevent it. You can ignore it and they may get tired of not getting a reaction. Or if they deliberately trying to harm the name and 'reputation', screen shots of IP and what they say can be compiled and sent to feedback.

Perhaps for "help" as the name of the thread would suggest.

Thanks Saffron, appreciate the link and help. I did a search but I searched for stolen name/stolen identity. Didnt think of "imposter"....duh.:embarrassed:

Yes, your thread said HELP and thats what I needed. Wasnt trying to take over your thread. Little testy there?

Thanks nohints! I like your name by the way cause I NEVER give hints either, id rather just lose the points if they cant get it. Im not the best drawer but im not the worst either. So, if they cant get that its a "tree" then wow im sorry im not giving hints. lol.

I would be incorrect to use possessive pronouns on the forum when it comes to threads, no user "owns" a thread. Atreyu did the right thing and instead of starting a new thread for an existing topic, she posted in an existing thread, which really helps unclutter the different subforums.

Is there any chance you are using text entry software for an east-Asian language? (simplified Chinese, for instance)

Did you try writing to Feedback? As a source of good advice about technical issues with iSketch they can't be beaten.
